Very useful when routing (and installing) the plug wires on the E500

One trick is to remove the coil packs first - this gives better access to the plug wires and allows you to use the valve cover as a fulcrum to open the boot. When refitting boots, a quick spray of silicone really helps get them back on (and prevent them from getting stuck in the future).

Pros
  • Durable coating
Cons
  • Only available in white

Works great, do it yourself on v8 too

If you have MB and DIY spark plugs this is a must have. Although the product name is V6 it also refers to the M113 V8 engine and for the price you can quickly unplug without the risk of pulling/damaging the wires. This tool saved me $600 over what the dealer wanted to charge me for the forks. (and I upgraded the spark plugs to iridium for booting)

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Must be a great tool

Great tool, very nicely packaged. I'll be upgrading after a few uses, I honestly expected it to look and feel cheap. Isn't it feels and looks really good and arrived on time. Will be using this to remove and install boots on my wife's 1998 ML320, these boots are PITA. It's easy to remove, but because of their location, this tool helps me make sure they're all installed correctly.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • New competitors have appeared

Please make sure it is suitable for your vehicle and application first!

I bought this because it was being offered for a 2006 Mercedes c280 Luxury w203. I'm sure it's great on other machines, but not necessary for my machine. My car uses an extension socket and spark plug puller. The tool feels solid and light, is made of heavy metals and is of good quality. I just don't need it. I should have researched more before buying.

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

The Mercedes plug removal tool is the right tool for the job!

This tool has allowed me to remove all (12) plugs from my 2000 MBZ CLK320 (W208) by first removing the passenger side airbox and unscrewing all (6) coil packs. I then removed all 12 plugs using a 6" 3/8" ratchet, 3" swivel extension and 16mm deep socket. "Videos circulating there.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Compatibility

Great tool to have.

Bought this tool to work on the Mercedes M113 engine. Worked great. I didn't think I'd need it until the next time I had to pull the spark plugs until I found an oil gauge leak on my Mercedes M119 engine and this tool helped me get the job done in 15 minutes instead of wasting my time be upset because other ranches wouldn't fit in that space. This tool from around the corner made the job easier. I'm glad I bought it and I'm sure I'll find another use for it.

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • Hard to tell

I just changed the spark plugs in a Mercedes W163 (ML320 - v6) and this wrench does its job SO GOOD (disconnecting the spark plug leads from the spark plugs) that you will love it as soon as you get it Question, do you need it because the tool makes the job so easy. It seems silly to use a wrench just to rip out the spark plug leads, but they're pretty difficult to grab and pull by hand with enough force, and using this wrench is as easy as tapping the seeds out of a lemon.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not the best

MUST BE! - Tools and Equipment

Essential for removing and reinstalling spark plug wires on Mercedes V-6 and V-8 dual ignition engines. The caps on these cables have incredibly easy to grip connectors and with limited clearance around the motor it is VERY difficult to remove and connect the cables without this tool. I highly recommend this tool and the price is right!. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it could use a little tweaking. The angle was wrong to allow access to the rearmost wire on the left

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Some troubles

Key tool here for changing the spark plugs on our M112 V-6 in my wife's e320 station wagon. Also useful when making spark plugs on my 2002 ML 500 with M113 V-8.at 16 spark plugs, I won't be doing that job but at least have the right tool handy. I wouldn't do the job without this tool, there's such a small gap. that removing and installing new wires is much easier when the sheathing is essentially "stripped" from the end of the connector, safely and with no real chance of breaking the connector…

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • I can't remember but there was something
