Takes a few fines but works GREAT!

If you're having trouble getting your second display to work...PLEASE READ. I spent hours getting this to work and couldn't see the second screen to save my life. I found that you MUST use the REMOTE CONTROL. Pressing the (--) button on the remote and then the OK button worked for me. The device beeped for about 5-10 seconds, the displays flickered, and then, whala, the second screen I spent hours on appeared immediately. I also use a REDRAGON wireless keyboard and mouse and it still works as…

At least a great first impression

I just hooked this up to my work computer and personal laptop via HDMI + DVI and so far it works well with two HP HDMI monitors and a Logitech wired mouse and Logitech wireless keyboard. I also need to power the laptop through the DisplayLink dock so I was worried there might be problems, but so far there haven't been any. I will update my review if I run into any issues but for now this is exactly what I wanted. Update - I would deduct half a star for two issues if possible. 1. Whenever you…

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Some difficulties

I had to figure out a little with the connection diagram, since the instructions are not very clear (there are a lot of them, but fragmentary). Beep, that's great! I will share some information, suddenly it will be useful to someone. my network I use dual monitors and a Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse (with USB receiver) between my HP work laptop dock and my Mac Mini. I think it took me the most time to realize that there must be two cables going from the SVM switch to each computer. The…

GAME CHANGE to work from home!

I have been forced to work from home due to COVID-19 and with my own system I also brought my laptop to work. I switched between my regular keyboard and my laptop keyboard. Both are good on their own, but switching between them messes up my home row. And it was frustrating having a tiny screen instead of dual monitors to get things out of the way. I use DisplayPort connectors and if you do you will need HDMI cables with DisplayPort adapters. I'm not a photo enthusiast and didn't want to adapt…

Works great, no problems!

I've had this product for about a month. I use it with 2 computers and 2 monitors. It works fantastic! I have no problem switching between computers. There is no noticeable lag. I also have a Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard with a nano receiver and have had no problems with these devices. I will say I didn't have much luck connecting to the printer after plugging it into the junction box. I was able to work around this problem by connecting the printer to 1 computer (cable). I can print…

Works well 8 months from purchase

I put my review on this back by buying a USB switch in the part that let me down when it died in the first few months. It's a bit more since it also switches monitors and I wanted to wait until enough time had passed to see if it held up. I'm happy to say that after 8 months and many switches between two computers, it still works well and supports my remote work!

  • Perfect for outdoor activities

Red lines and smudges, tech support not responding

All connected for two desktops and 2 monitors. I have red lines, spots and noise on one of my monitors. Lines only appear on one monitor on channel 2. Both look fine on channel 1 and monitor 2 looks fine on channel 2. Tried changing cables, rebooting, disassembling everything and randomly reconfiguring cables. Same problem. Contacted support, 5 days later no response. So I write again, it is advisable to try new cables. I write to them that I have already tried and after 8 days no response.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • No insurance

Great for external components

This KVM switch was just what I needed at work! Laptops don't usually have two HDMI ports, but luckily my work laptop has a docking station that works just fine. Setup was super easy: just follow the instructions, but know in advance that you will need 2 additional HDMI cables (Cable S from the description). My desktop only had mDP (Mini DisplayPort) inputs, but I had two HDMI adapters, so it wasn't a problem. The only problem I had was that the keyboard's USB port isn't working - Windows says…

Pros
  • Not cheap but worth it
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Works very well with KVM switches

The best thing I like about this KVM compared to many others I've looked at is that it uses an HDMI/USB combo cable, which really works with the Cable management helps. I wish it had a hotkey to switch between laptops as I got used to it before. But it's not that hard to press the button on the box. I don't really use the remote control. Seems well constructed, but the documentation you can see was written by someone whose native language isn't English. The only problem I had was that I could…
