Excellent with less signal distortion.

I recently unplugged my cable TV and bought an antenna for my whole house. I bought this to upgrade a splitter that was currently in the house. These are the best on the market in my opinion. In fact, Comcast uses these and other marks. I made sure I grounded it properly and I have a full signal everywhere.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Some bugs

You sent the wrong item. My splitter has 3 pins, all at -5.5dB.

Both the picture and the description say it has one -3.5dB and two -7dB branches. However, I got a -5.5 dB tripod splitter. I didn't want that and I didn't order it either. I received the wrong item and this item is non-refundable. waste $5.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Doubtful

My internet connection has improved!

I used to have a 1-into-4 7dB balanced splitter with an unused output. I thought why not get this splitter and remove the unused port. I connected my cable modem to the strongest output port on this splitter and you can see that the signal strength on my modem has improved across the board (see before and after photos). I blocked only one download channel with the old splitter and now have blocked 4 channels. Internet speed has also been increased. With an investment of $5, one cannot ask for…

Easy install - great results

First of all I want to say a big THANK YOU - HPL and JWP for answering and explaining the 2nd question about loss difference - 3.5 vs 7. Now - for rating - excellent Product - great price - great seller - fast delivery. Very easy installation for me - like replacing another splitter (I'm a widow with minimal electronics knowledge). The splitter is clearly labeled and after reading reviews and asking questions did exactly what I needed and improved the signal on the secondary TV that was…

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • A little maintainability

Easy fix - splitter

Seems to work well. Based on phone, internet and television availability, unbalanced was the way to go to provide the best possible signal for the internet modem. This means that the signal between the three outputs is not the same. One is the best signal and the other two share the rest. The Internet needs the best possible signal, according to Comcast, while a TV and phone can get by with less. I haven't noticed any deterioration in the quality of either the television or the telephone. If…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

My problems were resolved immediately

I bought this splitter to replace the 15 year old splitter that came with our house. Over the past few months, I have noticed an increase in pixelation and macro-blocking, as well as an excessive number of unrecoverable errors on my cable modem. The cable boxes were old so I replaced them all. I even replaced the cable modem which was also about 10 years old. The problems remain. Instead of paying for a technician to come in because I didn't think my cable company would tell me the problem was…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great splitter for 1 cable modem and 2 cable TV lines

My house was built with 1-6 splitters on the wall outside the house, one split was a cable modem. My internet connection jumps up and down for no reason. Called my ISP with a cable modem and they had no idea. I asked them if splitting 1 through 6 might be a problem and they said no. They even sent a technician to check everything and didn't see any problems. I only have 3 active coax ports - a cable modem and 2 cable boxes. So all I really need is a 1 to 3 split. I disabled the unused splitters

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Great price

Great splitter! in audio and video accessories

So I have Spectral Internet when they came and installed coaxial lines in my house (the house was older and had no existing internal lines) they ran 1 line into the house split into 2 paths, one went into the bedroom just to watch TV, the other went into the living room, in the living room the coaxial line was again divided into 2 paths for the modem and TV box. After a bit of research, I found that this isn't the best way to set up a modem. So I eliminated the 2-way splitter in my living room…

  • Free for educational purposes
