Garbage! Used for the second time and it broke.

Device used 1 time worked fine, used it again a few weeks later and it made a popping noise and stopped working. The display didn't even turn on. Called Revane and they said the return window was closed. I explained that it said it was 1 year warranty and I wanted a refund. Of course, they don't understand English and insisted that refilling is chargeable. How can I be charged for returning a defective product under warranty? Very disappointed with both the soldering station and Amazon. Stay…

  • Basically ok but...

Not bad for the price.

I wasn't looking for a high end soldering station. I don't have to solder that often. I mainly use it for car radio setups. It heats up quickly and can be dialed within the temperature I need. I want the line to be detachable in case it burns out. But it's affordable enough to replace entirely if it blows out prematurely. Well the main downside I found was that the pen holder is NOT heat resistant at all. Be careful to place the pin in the center of the holder or you will burn through the case.

Great gift for an engineering student, no rosin core

Bought as a gift for my son who is an engineering student. He loves to. Excellent control, fast temperature control. My only complaint is that the included solder wire itself doesn't have a so-called * in its core, which really is an absolute must for serious soldering. But he just throws away the included wire and buys a decent wire for a few bucks. Seems to be an obvious oversight that can be corrected quickly and cheaply in a quality set. this is the technical term for the rosin core. I am…

Really comfortable! Nice upgrade for my old hardware.

I've started learning how to solder with one of those cheap soldering irons with leads and there's nothing wrong with that, but it's time to upgrade to a soldering iron with more features. This soldering iron has many new features that I really like and if you solder regularly you will be very thankful. I can set the temperature exactly how I want it with the included dial. It has a handy place for the iron when not in use, as well as a good spot for cleaning metal wool. You also get a nice…

Large soldering station

I enjoy building RC airplanes and slot machines. I've always used cheap $8 soldering irons and am tired of how bad they are so I upgraded and bought this Toauto soldering station. I've had it for about 4 months and I love it. It has different tips, it heats up quickly with a temperature control and does its job perfectly. It does almost everything I need. It has a place for a wire sponge for cleaning the soldering tip, a place for storing a soldering coil and a soldering iron holder. I bought…

Very happy with this iron

I've been using the Hakko 937 for over ten years. I have owned an RC shop for a number of years and solder countless connectors for batteries, motors and ESCs. I loaned it to a friend a while back and said the friend "lost it" so I was looking for a new soldering station. Not wanting to spend on a fancy new Hakko, I decided to give this one a try. To be honest, I'm very happy with that. Heats up just as fast as my Hakko and the temperature is stable. Another thing I love about it is that it…

Works well. for welding and soldering

The device works as intended and the temperature control works perfectly. But I have a few flaws that prevent him from being perfect. 1. The station is light. It's very easy to push, and while it's not that light, you'll be moving it around at work if it's a bit heavier, even if it just has some crappy weights underneath. 2. Soldering. Oh my god, solder is included. Non-ideal lead-free solder is tedious to work with. This is indeed the case, if you receive this please be sure to get the roll of

Great starter station

I bought this product to replace my old RadioShack station which had completely failed. I have to say it's a cut above what I had. I can really control the temperature which is very helpful when working with more temperature sensitive circuits. No more burned chips or PCB pads! It also heats up quickly so you can turn it on and off as needed. Turn on the switch and after 30 seconds it is ready to use. This kit also includes some basic workstation tools (solder suction cup, fine tip tweezers and

A big improvement over standalone soldering irons

later I don't know if Toauto is better than similar devices but I can report that it works well and does what it says on the tin. I've always envied those who claim to have used the same soldering iron and tip for years that never worked for me. The most successful are probably those who carefully control the temperature, keep the iron at a lower temperature when not in use, and remember to turn off the power when the job is done. I've never been able to be so careful and spend too much time…
