Not First Alert Brand

The light messages that were sent were not First Alert Brand. Our fire department has level 1 warning lights on all our trucks. The items delivered were not First Alert branded and the tycoon was far less powerful. I would be concerned about those loose surfaces they stick to.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Fake

Well built!: Lights and lighting accessories

Well designed and put together! It's rare to find a product that falls just short of minimum production quality. As a rule, everything is so cheap, flimsy and prone to breakage. Not this one. Reliable construction, easy to use, durable, thick materials and strong magnet. It feels like I was in a time machine as the products were being developed indefinitely. Buy more for each car (I actually bought this one to be the red nose for my Rudolph reindeer on my 1958 BMW Isetta).

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Some nuances

Bright but Beacon Pro is much brighter

I bought this version because it's a lot cheaper than PRO. Well I think it's bright enough on a dark street and it's best to have at least 2 of them. The magnetic base sticks well to the car and should hold its position. This part works with 3 x AAA. (compared to the Pro which runs at 4 x AA) I also bought the Pro to try. The Pro is slightly larger and definitely a lot brighter (runs on 4 x AA). Definitely an essential tool to have in your car. Much better than just using the warning triangle!

  • This is amazing

  • Not the best

but it's a cool light. Either he stops at a red light, or.

I bought this because I didn't have a rear turn signal. I was trying to find a creative way to do some sort of flashing light when turning left for the drivers behind me. Before I could even use it, my fiancé fixed my rear turn signal so I no longer have to use it for that, but it's a cool light. It either lights up red or flashes red. It has a magnetic base that will stay on your car wherever you put it as long as it's metal. I have a feeling this light will come in handy someday!

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Only available in black

Great for safety kits

Searching for an alternative to flares I came across 9.1.1R lights and based on positive reviews I bought 2. I have just received them and I am very satisfied. They use 3 AAA batteries (not included) and the batteries can be easily installed and removed. The red light is bright (I didn't test it outdoors) and it gives you the option to blink or stay on all the time. The switch is a small black rubber button on the top that is easy to use and has a nice feel. The magnet is strong and the 4…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some flaws

Got two of these for a car kit I built for my son in law for Christmas. His new job involves him traveling a lot and he's not exactly Bear Grylls, so the purpose of the kit was to give him something to help him get over his hump while waiting for roadside assistance in the event of a car accident. To me, these are essential devices in case his battery dies and he doesn't have an alarm. They are very bright, although they seem a bit dim during the day and in the times of 1000+ lumen flashlights.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Poor instructions

STRONG magnet - Easy to use, love it!

Okay so I bought them to use as trailer lights as mine don't work properly. When I opened the package I was a bit worried that the magnets weren't strong enough to stay on the trailer while driving. Well, they did that and more. Luckily, the first day I tried them, my GPS led me onto what looked like dirt road. This gravel road quickly turned into an off-road mountain and I was already at the point of no return when I towed a trailer. This trailer bounced EVERYWHERE as I foolishly went down my…

Great Safety Light, Revain description is now correct :)

UPDATE (05/02/2014): I have been notified by a user purchase that Revain has now updated the product information to match your preferences. Original Review: I have just received my order for two FlareAlert 9.1.1R Red LED Safety Lights or as the packaging says, a 9-1-1 LED Emergency Beacon. They are very well constructed, very bright and I love it. The magnet is strong and together with the four rubber feet they don't move or scratch. I bought it because of the low price, 10 LEDs and the three…

Update: I fixed the issue and recommend it.

////UPDATE 5/31/16 Still working fine. I haven't had too many cases to use, but when I do it increases the strength. I will probably order more in the near future. I'm still aware of the switch and now handle it with care. Upgrade to 4 stars. I will keep updating. I would now recommend it with the caveat that it's not industrial/military, but it will get the job done. 4-29-16 PMO Original Review below. After I disassembled the board, the solder joints and wires looked fine. Once separately I…
