Description of 🦎 Enhance Reptile Terrariums with Fluker's Ceramic Heat Emitter - A Reliable Heating Solution

100 watt ceramic heat emitter for reptile habitats. Heat emitters radiate intense infrared heat but emit no light. The perfect 24-hour heat source for your tropical or desert reptile. Ceramic heat emitters can be used to establish an appropriate environmental temperature range for reptiles. If the environmental temperature in your terrarium is inadequate, your pet reptile may be susceptible to digestive problems or infections.

Not sure I will buy again

Bought February 20th 2019 and I need to order a new one today March 27th 2019 This is the first purchase I've bought and it has worked fine up to 3 days ago and i noticed a temperature difference and woke up this morning it wasn't working. I will be ordering another one from this company to see how long it lasts and that will determine if I buy from here again. 25,000 hours is a long time and I don't expect it, but I do expect a lightbulb to be used for several months.

Cons
  • Can't remember

It's getting so hot! It doesn't emit any light at all. Be sure to use a special cap or wire holder to insert. It cannot penetrate a normal dome. I found that any hanging hoods wouldn't work with this, but I still wanted these to hang over my tank (as opposed to inside or directly on top mesh). I ended up buying a wide hatch (for chicks) with a ceramic plate (the lamp gets very hot and needs ceramic). But the catch was that this type of hood only came with a clip that had to be attached to the…

Perfect for a parrot too!

I have a Fluker light but I hate the red glow of a heat lamp because I think animals should be dark at night just like humans. It's cold in my house in winter and I have a parrot. The lamp body attaches to the outside of her cage and warms the corner where she sleeps without that red light. I love that they make them and that they are flat! Literally perfect. This bulb radiates heat, but not so much that my bird overheats. (At the distance my bird sits it rises to about 80Β°, but I move the lamp

Durable, heats well

No more spending money on heat lamps drying out my tank or falling heating mats. It was just what I needed to heat my 18 x 18 x 24 cm red eyed tree frog aquarium. I use it in combination with a thermostat and a dimmable ceramic dome lamp. No problem keeping my tank temp where it should be. I've been using this since November 2014, it's almost March 2015 and it's still working. I can't believe how much money I've wasted on heating bulbs and useless heating mats before! October 2015. Still going!
