Thank you for this wonderful product! I was heartbroken when my iMac screen cracked this week. I thought it was a total loss and a lot of $$$$. Instead, after a little research and a few YouTube videos, I commissioned glass for an intensive DIY project. It turned out to be SO easy! I fixed my Mac in 10 minutes or less. This product saved my day, month, week and year! I am very happy. :)

This glass fits directly onto my iMac with no problems. There is a very slight fit problem at the very top of the glass where a thin gap less thick than a fingernail is visible. This allows air and dust to penetrate behind the glass. To fix this I removed the glass, cleaned it and the display, put it back on and sealed the gap with tape. It is almost flush around the entire perimeter, with a slight overhang. But good for the price

When I ordered this screen, my main concern was that some reviewers mentioned that the glass didn't quite fit perfectly around the edges of the computer. For the price I thought it was worth a try. I was very nervous when I saw how battered the UPS box was. Somehow the glass survived. The packaging was minimal, but somehow adequate. This item was shipped in a cardboard box that is approximately 1 inch thick on all sides. The glass has been sealed on BOTH sides with a protective plastic film to prevent dust or dirt from getting on it. The glass itself is not OEM, but more than good. This Lecho replacement glass is perfect for 2011 iMac. Installation Tips: 1. The iMac glass is held in place by metal tabs on the bottom edge and metal strips on the top edge. The magnets on the iMac case are attracted to the metal strips and hold the glass in place.
