Overall it's not bad, but I expected more.

For such a lot of money, such an awkward device. Maps from the times of King Peas are not ated. He does not know the roads that were made 10 years ago. Paves the route only on the motorway. And some Asian wild incomprehensible pronunciation of the streets defies description. At first he freaked out, then he began to laugh. So I arrived. Now it is unlikely that you will sell this miracle to anyone.

Pros
  • Interesting display
Cons
  • 1. It is difficult to type the address of the final destination. 2. The voice acting is terrible. Wild accent, unable to pronounce the name of the street.

Really impressed!

Bought this device for my wife's car which had no sat nav. Also bought a power cord (no subscription required - just plug in). Have played with it and used it locally to go to the supermarket, doctor etc and it has worked great every time. Shows the traffic on the map if necessary. Attaches to the windscreen with a suction cup - I didn't think this would work very well but was pleasantly surprised at how well it holds up. Big PLUS in my opinion. The traffic cable replaces the charging cable and

Honest review from an ordinary man.

I bought a DriveSmart 51 (DS 51) to replace a 5 year old Garmin Nuvi 40. I've looked at many different GPS devices and read many reviews. I chose the DS 51 mainly for use in a rental car when traveling. I also purchased a Garmin Air Vent Mount along with the RevainBasics 5 inch GPS case. The screen size is slightly larger than my Nuvi and the DS 51's screen is much more responsive. The screen is much nicer as it has a flat surface compared to older models with a recessed screen that required…

Poor replacement for an obsolete in-dash system

I am giving this product a relatively low rating as it does not meet the needs for which I bought it. I have a Toyota Avalon with built in GPS that is over four years old. The GPS mapping system, at least the old one, is becoming obsolete. In heavily built-up areas like the Tristate Area and Washington DC, my GPS has trouble navigating properly. In addition, the Points of Interest database is also outdated. Several times I was referred to gas stations and restaurants that no longer exist…
