Practical scale. Other indicators are inaccurate

The weight seems accurate and the Wi-Fi connection is very convenient, no longer need to enter manually, so the muscle mass and bone mass are also useless. I've tried different settings but it only seems to use height and weight so it's just as useful as BMI. I found I had to push it pretty hard with my foot to turn it on.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Exchange availability

Do Not Buy From Third Party Vendors

There's a reason this scale is sold out on the Garmin website but is available through a third party. These items are discarded defects from Garmin. My batteries kept falling out of place and it never connected to Wi-Fi after troubleshooting due to the batteries falling out. As it was purchased from a third party, Garmin can't help. Not to mention the fact that I spent money on insurance and it was all for nothing.

Wow, can't believe this is the first negative review

If you look at the Garmin help blogs hosted on the Garmin website you will see many issues with this unit ( setup, especially for Wi-Fi). Disclosure - I've been in IT since 1991 - I had to work an hour to plug this in. Reading other issues---lots of RMAs etc., I got a little depressed. However, I happened to remember that I had an old "ANT+" USB adapter. I tracked this down and hooked it up to my computer, set up the device and within 5 minutes had it hooked up to a Wi-Fi network using an ANT+โ€ฆ

OK BUT. in GPS, Finders & Accessories

2/4/2021 - I received my S2 yesterday. Very easy to set up and connect to WiFi. Appears on my Garmin Connect on my iPhone. Looks well made and attractive. Measurements (weight, change in body weight, BMI, body fat percentage, skeletal muscle mass, bone mass, body water content) displayed on your phone. I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it's better to use it as a trend than true numbers. Last night my weight dropped 1/2 pound, my body water decreased a few percent and my body fat increased aโ€ฆ

Pros
  • a handy thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

I really want to wait for the 2nd unit to arrive but

I will keep U posted. Then after I did that my Garmin app couldn't see my Garmin 1030 bike computer. It took a lot of fiddling but I finally got the app to recognize both devices. 2: The biggest unresolved issue is the accuracy and the way it turns on. OK, let's go. I keep this device in a place where other people won't mess with it. Every time I set it up, it turns on, resets to zero, and immediately turns off. So I step on it again to wake it up, then I get the hourglass icon, then theโ€ฆ
