Works as advertised

I found my picture quality to be poor. Powered by the S-Video line and after a few days my computer stopped sending a signal or the modulator stopped working I don't know what but because of the poor picture quality I decided not to use it.

Good inexpensive modulator

Good inexpensive modulator for basic needs! (Cable, game system, DVD player, etc.), nothing special. worth $20! The only gripe is that the power cord isn't built into the device like it was on older models. Instead, it's a VERY thin power supply cable that you plug into the back of the modulator! And yes, in general everything looks like cheap plastic. I would recommend "Philips SWS2103W/17 RF Modulator Video Converter" Philips SWS2103W/17 RF Modulator Video Converter

Good Video 3 or 4 Channel Analog Modulator

I'm using this modulator to stream A/V with Direct TV satellite modulation to a TV in my detached garage workshop. (Our direct TV receivers don't have modulated RF outputs, only HDMI and RCA video/audio.) The garage is about 100 feet from the house and the cable is about 125 feet long. I had to connect video and audio jumpers, choose the right channel for the RF output, hook up an RG-6 cable going to the garage, and plug the power supply into the wall.
