Very weak plastic stand and wide brackets

I bought this to allow my road bike to stand alone in the garage. The plastic mounts surrounding the wheel are flimsy, causing the bike to lean (the mounts don't keep it upright), but the biggest issue is that the mounts are so thick that they get in between the cogs and the wheel and put pressure on them exercise the gears. .Also, the whole stand is made of very light plastic. I ended up just throwing it away and buying a different type of stand.

Not useful for heavier mountain bikes.

Not good for my Trek Fuel EX9. My bike weighs about 28 pounds. I put the 2.25 inch rear wheel in the stand and it immediately started tipping. I might "stay" it if I position the front wheel like this, but I'm afraid a strong gust of wind will put my $3,500 bike on a stand. Earth. I'd rather put it there in an accident than trust that flimsy plastic. Also, even if it worked, it would break easily. Took a risk based on some other reviews but not strong enough for a mountain bike. concerned.

Doesn't work best in bike racks and stands

I bought this for a Trek mountain bike with 29" wheels and 2.5" wide tires (standard) and it falls off when it's on the stand is provided. The ability to keep the bike upright depends on the rack hitting the spokes at a point roughly the width of the tire. So maybe this will work on something with much smaller wheels, like 20 inches or less, or maybe a bike with narrower tires where the rack mounts can be narrower and therefore closer to the width of the spokes, but of course most of these…

Great value floor stand for all your two wheeled needs!

First read the description inattentively. I woke up late at night to find my bike had flipped over again from the wind. So I decided to do something about it. After I ordered it, I found out that it's made of plastic. However! It's a kind of heavy and durable plastic. I love it. Attached is a photo of my bike. The key to setting up the bike is to loosen the stand on the top rear wheel while holding the wheel with your feet. Then give it just about a millimeter of space and tighten both.

Fast and durable indoor stand

I recently moved from a house with a garage to a studio where I needed to make room for a road bike. I didn't need a wall stand for many reasons. Having read a lot of reviews about this stand damaging the spokes I was a bit wary. The width of the stand is adjustable. I installed it on a slightly wider plane than my tires. I use it on the front wheel of a bicycle. So there is no chance of it interfering with the gears. When I first put the bike on the stand, it caught on the reflectors and…

Frustrating construction but stable once completed!

Provides secure bike storage. Some complain that it is unstable. You just have to keep in mind that this is not made to be stored out in the wind. Feels very good in a sheltered area! I agree with some others who have complained about build difficulties. When you insert the nut into the slot and start screwing the bolt in, the nut will "stick" slightly and move out of alignment. As a result, the bolt does not want to be screwed in in a straight line and makes it impossible to screw the bolt in…

A handy storage option if the concept doesn't put you off

A stand that uses rear wheel spokes for support is always a compromise. But this one works. I use this stand for my heavy winter bike: Lemond Zurich with mudguards, headlights and many parts. My wheels are high performance touring wheels with a shameful number of spokes. You will come in handy here. I have the stand's support arms as close together as possible while still allowing the rear wheel to slide vertically. When I take my hand away, the bike rests gently on one side of the spokes, then

Nice, simple and light bike stand

This is a nice, simple and light bike stand. Probably not as easy to transport as some that fold up, but it serves my purpose well. I need to wash my cyclocross bike after a few muddy runs and need something to keep it upright. I could have gotten a stronger metal stand but then I would have to worry about rusting. Since this stand is made of hard plastic, there is nothing to worry about other than the screws that hold the stand together. There are some adjustments for different tire sizes from

It will frustrate you to no end!

In my 43 years I've collected countless pieces of furniture, exercise equipment, toys, gadgets and everything else in the world, but this was one of the most frustrating things I've ever had to collect. . There are many flaws in the design. There are no instructions to speak of, other than a picture showing how the bolts and nuts should fit together and a phrase telling you to match them. The problem is getting the nuts and bolts together. They designed it so the nut fits snugly in the top…
