This digital audio decoder still works. HDTV. It's powered by the AC adapter, not the USB cable, so it doesn't cycle on and off with my TV like I'd hoped. When receiving PCM signals and changing channels, the analog audio signal for the headset is generated quite quickly. When changing channels to an encoded Dolby Digital signal, it takes some time before the decoder recognizes and decodes the signal as expected. I've tried some of the other models sold here at Revain with mixed success. The TV does not have a headphone or preamp output [Line Out] to power my wireless headphones. And my main reason for the adapter is so I can quietly listen to morning on-air news programs etc through headphones when the rest of the house is asleep.
