Works great and looks like factory installed with separate wire cover

Works great in my 2nd gen Tacoma! Both compass and temperature are fine - really tested by this week's arctic blast. He said (negative) - 9, and it was the outside temperature. It's nice to know I can get stuff like this for Taco after the sale. It's a game changer when deciding whether or not you want to get an older version of Taco with less technology. I paid the local radio store $100 to install it because I didn't want to mess with plugging it into the fuse box. Buy only a short protective

Great aftermarket product for a 2011 Crown Vic

If it had been professionally installed they would not be able to program the compass. Yes! I brought it home from the installers and it programmed itself. Anyone who claims to be difficult to program should reconsider this observation. Very happy with its factory look and I drove at night hoping someone would drive behind me with high beams on so I could watch the auto dimming feature. The thermometer works great and is very accurate. I often check it with my climate thermometer and…

Great OEM product though.

The two wires from the temperature sensor are not pre-wired to the harness and there are no instructions as to which pins they connect to. The Gentex support site states that they do not and will not provide the schematic, that their exclusive Voxx Electronics distribution channel is responsible for it (really?). Their website also doesn't offer installation/connection diagrams for download. To save you from trouble, the temperature sensor wires are connected to pins #6 and #7. Check this first

Standard look, quality mirrors, a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

Looks almost like a normal mirror of our Suburban. There is a model with a compass and thermometer, as well as with automatic dimming. Giving 5 stars is a bit too expensive for me, but it's worth it in the long run. Looks OEM, feels OEM. Auto Dimming: Has been tested and works very well but not really needed in our converted van with black rear windows. Compass: I was surprised how easy it is to install the compass. The mirror of our suburb asks us to indicate in which zone we are and in which…

piss off! - fairing

Received this mirror with wiring. Installed on a 2003 Jeep Wrangler. I already had a seven pin harness in my jeep. I just stuck it in a mirror and the compass worked but got an OC code for the temperature. I know that the wiring that comes with it only has 4 of the 7 pins, which I used to pull 4 wires out one at a time. Leftover OC code. So I ripped out all the old wires and installed the wire into the kit. After 3 hours of installation I connected the mirror. Same damn OC code! It was a simple

Gentex Auto-Dim/Temperature/Compass Mirror

50Genk20A is the same mirror as the 50Genk21A but the wiring harness is made by MITO and is designed for tougher environments thanks to built in fuses. The 21A harness is made by Gentex and is a slightly thinner wire. I opted for 20A and was glad I did. The most difficult part is to route the temperature sensor wiring harness inside the vehicle. I bought this mirror for a 2013 Honda Pilot LX. My wife wanted some sort of temperature and compass heading feedback, and the auto dimming feature is…

Perfect fit for 2nd generation Nissan Frontier SE

The factory mirror in my 2006 Nissan Frontier is old - the silver mirror coating on the edges has faded and I have never been able to 'exactly' align the mirror. This Gentex was easy to install, pressing right over the button and I lightly tightened the T-20 screw. I connected ground to one of the headliner screws located above the card's sunglass holder/light box. I routed the temperature sensor wire down the driver's side A-pillar and then out through the firewall grommet behind the brake…

Quality product and made in the USA!

I really enjoyed installing this mirror! I installed it in less than 2 hours thanks to the well-written and descriptive guide. Very professional wiring and connections. Including wiring harness. I've provided some zip ties to keep the installation clean. They did a really great job with the whole mirror. All I had to do was find the spark plug wire on my 1993 GMC truck. Everything was high quality and well made. They made it so easy to install. I like it! The sensor probe comes with OEM style…

GENTEX GENK20A - How to connect the temperature sensor - help here

My GENK20A kit (purchased April 2019) came with no connection instructions. The temperature sensor comes with connector pins on the ends of the wires ready for connection to the mirror's 7-pin connector. Which pens go where? This information is missing from the kit and I could not find it online. Luckily my uncle just got a new truck and he had the exact same mirror, so I unplugged his mirror connector and used my multimeter to determine each pin. I then tested my mirror with the exact same…
