Great flash. Works well with Nikon D4

I needed a replacement for one of my Nikon SB800's that I have had for years as a professional photographer. I didn't want to spend all my money on a new Nikon flash so after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. I like that it doesn't overheat like the other Yongnuo I have. When you're working on a wedding and holding special events, flash doesn't overheat easily and this flash didn't disappoint. Good value for money.

Excellent flash on Nikon D7200

I use them with Nikon D7200 together with Godox Xpro wireless shutter release. They work great. I use Eneloop batteries and get 80-100 flashes per charge. I've used them both on and off camera in TTL mode and manual mode. They are well made and work great. I have three. Godox releases a version with a large rechargeable battery (Godox V860II I think) but I went with the TT685 so I could use standard AA batteries if I had them (i.e. in place and forgot to charge). Worth the price.

Disappointed with the camera's performance with iTTL.

I just received my 2 cameras and both are underexposed by about -1.3 with iTTL compared to my Nikon Speedlights (SB600 and SB400). I am very disappointed with the performance of the Godox TT685. My tests so far have been done with the flash on the camera. I would be happy with performance similar to Nikon's or even -1/3 underexposure. The manual setting seems to work fine, but I want to get good performance with iTTL as advertised. I also bought an XPProN radio trigger which I haven't tested…

Very flexible and inexpensive flash

I bought this flash as an add-on to other Godox flashes and triggers (e.g. X2T-N). The device is relatively easy to use, powerful, has a built-in wireless receiver (compatible with Godox or Flashpoint trigger transmitters), and is well built. Because it can be used as a wireless transmitter or slave (as well as in TTL and manual modes), it's now my favorite on-camera flash. I'm a Nikon photographer. When purchasing, make sure you select the model that is compatible with your camera (the last…

Great flash at an affordable price

I have to say I really like this flash. It's not overly expensive, performs well for what it is, and charges fast enough with AA batteries, and the fact that I can add an external battery is icing on the cake. The head tilts and rotates to reflect the flash. Pairing this with the X1-T emitter gives you plenty of off-camera flash options, whether you're shooting in an umbrella/softbox or adding a directional light/reflection. Remember this is just a flash. You won't get the performance of a…

Affordable, superior performance and quality

Inexpensive compared to the Nikon equivalent, but just as useful. The build quality isn't as durable as the branded flash, but it's definitely very good. The device is solid in the hand, not too cheap and not made of plastic. I found the light output excellent and the battery life quite good. Unless you shoot a lot of powerful clap. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is that I don't like the screw clip that attaches the flash to the hot shoe. I prefer the lever type…

Customer Service Errors, Product Errors

When I first bought a flash, I was thrilled. It arrived on time and worked great. Once I grabbed the flash and it wouldn't turn on. I've never taken it outside. It stayed at home and was only used a couple of times. I have 4 Nikon OEM flashes and just thought I'd skip the radio controlled one. However, I contacted Godox directly, they requested the video, and then when I sent it, they never replied to me. Nada. Nothing. Of course, I assumed that maybe I had somehow missed her mail and contacted
