Gorilla Tape Matches Duct Tape

I bought this tape to keep water from seeping onto my barn roof. leaks in one place. This product does NOT work. I have done many applications in 2 months and it still does NOT stick as it promises. I've tried so many times and it still doesn't stick like it should. I don't recommend putting anything on the outside as it won't fully adhere to the roof. I covered it with a tarp and it works great!

Pros
  • Few Competitors
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Not happy with this one

I was looking for a tape that was better than duct tape so I bought this one. WILL NEVER BUY THIS MOVIE AGAIN! I When I unrolled it from a roll to cut to length. He wanted, he was patching a crack in his windowsill, the stupid tape was stuck to itself and there was no way he could peel it off. No matter how hard I tried to separate the tape and dig in, tugged and tugged, nothing worked. Eventually I gave up and threw the whole roll away. If it works for you, great, but I won't be spending any…

  • Great for a small house

Great Price, Average Performance

I was initially impressed with the thickness and strength of this tape, but performance seems to vary wildly depending on the conditions. Exposure to strong sun and heat appears to "melt" the adhesive backing and then the tape separates from what it was adhered to. This didn't happen in all cases though, so I think it might depend on the finish (plastic, wood, metal, etc.). The Gorilla brand has a reputation for quality, but I've found that both the blue and the bands aren't always much better…

Highly recommended!

I used it to repair a dent on my free car because I don't want to pay for the car yet. It works and it doesn't seem like my dad had an accident several times falling asleep at the wheel, he's alive but the car is a mess. The tape makes it look like mush. In terms of weather protection, it works. I live in Florida which becomes a swamp 4 months out of the year, no, 6 months to be exact. It has weathered storms and 100+ degree heat waves for weeks and is still intact. So if your parents wrecked…

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Negative result available

The best durable tape on the market. You will never get more than you paid for. Why do people call it both duck tape and duct tape? It is actually duck coated fabric with an adhesive layer on one side. (Google Duck Cloth for yourself.) Of course, for many years people called it Duck Tape. Then, in the '80s, a shady company showed up and realized they could copyright the term "duck tape." Technically, only the Duck brand can legally call their product Duck Tape. But if you want the best…

Pros
  • Rugged, weather-resistant housing; withstands moisture, UV rays and extreme temperatures
Cons

Beware! Not as good as black gorilla tape!

We use duct tape all the time. I've always used black. I ordered white because I was working on a window screen project and white would be less noticeable. They are also used in another project. I have found that white is nowhere near as strong and sticky as black. I know it's just a color difference, but there must be a difference in the way it's done. As soon as I unfolded it and was about to shoot the first piece, the tape split in half. Broke the middle. Leave me with two thinner strips. I…

Pros
  • Extra strong, double thickness Gorilla tape delivers excellent results; It's like duct tape on steroids
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Heavy Duty White Tape *Photos included with test*

Wow. This is a strong bond. Look at the photos with this review and compare this Gorilla White Tape to 3M White Duct Tape. A few notes: Gorilla Tape is white on the outside and gray on the adhesive side, 3M white on both sides. The Gorilla tape does not show through at all, while the 3M tape does show through a little. In the photos I try to hide the words "Weather Tech" on the box and the rolls of tape match the position of the tape on the box so you can see where the 3M tape is at the top of…
