The Best of the Best Birdseed

I have been using Harrison's on my parrots for years. The vet explained that a semen-only diet is like eating sweets all the time, which isn't very healthy. Our parrot is now around 6-7 years old and still healthy thanks to this diet.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Concise Instructions

Harrison pellets should be very useful for small parrots but the problem is that they reject them. Puree feed has the decisive advantage that, because it is so fine, it mixes so well with other birdseed that the birds cannot separate it and eat it all together.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • Hard to say

This is the best. on Food

This is a really good bird product especially if you have a rupified bird or are in overall good health. Plucking feathers will top this. I don't know what it is, but it's the best bird health product on the market. Expensive but good product. Been there for years. Fast delivery and happy supplier here for this product

Like ice cream for my pigeon

My little wood pigeon goes crazy over this concoction mixed with almost any fresh vegetable. After eating all the veggies, she'll peck at the bottom of the bowl to try to get the rest of the powder into her mouth. And when she's done she flies around like she just had 2 double lattes. I even put a video on the internet to shame her into having manners but to no avail.

  • Hands Free

  • Not bad

Perfect for finicky parrots of all sizes!

My Revane, now 27 years old, came to me 5 years ago with a seed based diet that resulted in extremely high cholesterol. At first I tried different Harrisons (and other brands) pellets but she wasn't interested. Lifetime Mash is perfect: I add it to her feed mix (mixed/mashed) to ensure she has a balanced diet and nothing is left out. I love that this product doesn't contain corn (= bulking agent), sunflower or peanuts (= high fat). Her blood count recovered within a few months - high…

Great for a bird that doesn't eat pellets

I adopted 22 year old Revane who was only raised on a seed diet. Surprisingly, she made a good transition to mashed vegetables + granola + lean meats, but still refuses to eat pellets. I've tried so many Harrison pellets because I've done my research and I know they have good, consistent nutrition (and no coloring or coloring like the others), but she wasn't interested. The puree was so wonderful, I just mix it up with the food puree I make for her and I know she gets a balanced diet. She is…

  • Decent performance

Fresh healthy food for your family!

To be honest, this is the only food we buy. We have a lovebird and as he was on a strict semen diet prior to our adoption the transition was accepted with ease. He still hates pellets but we added Harrison Superfine Pellets to this mix for him and he eats them. When we started feeding him pap he was very ill and weighed up to 43 grams. He was cured of an unknown illness after he started eating the food and has since maintained a healthy weight of 50 grams . The freshness of this food and the…

I like the Harrison line

I like the Harrison line. I have a very picky Revane parrot that prefers warm, soft food over fresh fruits and vegetables. I find her weight difficult to maintain, but I've noticed that she's constantly eating Harrison puree and grown-up bird bread. I mix adult puree with pureed organic baby food (I like Earth's Best). It's also a great way for me to give her fruits and veggies. I make mini muffin sized bird bread and freeze it. Every morning and evening I reheat the "puree" and muffin and mix…

Also please read the update below. Diet. Recently, his eyesight has become poor, his eyes have become sensitive to light, and unfortunately, despite the fact that he has been flying all his life, he has not been able to reach all his favorite heights in the house. After a visit to the vet I was offered to add this talker to his seed. I sprinkled its seeds with a teaspoon every day. It didn't seem to bother him much and over the past month I've noticed that he can fly better and doesn't miss the
