Budgie approved! best in Birds

I started breeding budgies on another product and then switched to this one. They liked this product better and really thrived. They are now a very healthy 3 month old and I believe this has been the best formula I have been able to use.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Useless features

Great product - birds

Although this mix is for chicks I bought this to feed my 2 year old budgie. He seemed to go on strike when it came to food and since he had a lot of birds I knew that hand feeding would encourage him to eat and if not then he would get food. I choose Harrison's hand feeding formula as well as adult bird pellets.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Almost never

Great product from a great brand.

My husband bought me a severe macaw and needed to be weaned. But after I got my macaw and took him in for a check up within 3 days my vet told me I had to hand feed him. He was not fully weaned and starving. So I did some research and Harrison looked the healthiest. My macaw liked it and steadily gained weight. Multiple visits to the vet to make sure everything is fine and going in the right direction and the vet was very happy with his progress and after seeing the results and doing his own…

Bought for a 1 year old Caik

Decided to try this after a difficult start with my baby. She came to me sick and needed antibiotics and had little appetite, then there were family problems and she started picking and it went on like that. Went to the vet, she was fine but noticed her crop was never full. She was a year old and I started using this probiotic hand food formula. She's finally thriving, her feathers have grown FAST and she's not plucking. In addition, she is so active that it is difficult to keep up with her…

Best formula for hand feeding juvenile fish

Harrison's is one of the finest bird seed manufacturers. Their youthful formula, IMHO, is the best. Many others are high in corn and sweeteners. This one is full of natural things closer to what parrots would be fed in the wild. It took my parrot 4 days to accept (but the breeder fed her high fructose corn food). Once she accepted it, she kept begging for it. I continue to syringe feed her quarterly (if I ever need to give her medication she will get used to this feeding method) this food and…

THE BEST formula out there!

I literally saw a difference in my bird when I switched to this formula! My baby, Revane, was very specific with his breeder, found the ingredients cheesy, so I started looking for quality food with healthy ingredients! Kaytee formula is mainly corn, cheap litter, I refuse to feed bird litter, I will not feed it to my dogs! I'm so glad I came across this formula. Without GMO. Wow! My bird has more energy and beautiful feathers! My baby took to this mix straight away! Then I added a strong puree

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Happy kids best in food

I hand feed two parrots and want to try this brand, it caught my attention as it is organic and the ingredient list is very different from other brands I have had, this one there are many good things for a growing bird, i really like seaweed, flaxseed, spirulina and D3. The first ingredient isn't corn like Katy. I use 1/2 tbsp and 1 tbsp water to make enough for 2 parrots and nothing is left over. My babies are growing feathers much faster, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but they…

OMG love love love this thing!

When I received my parrot it was hand fed Exactly. I have been hand feeding him for 4 weeks. For some reason I didn't like Exact and as I wanted to get him used to Harrison's granules I decided to switch to the youth formula. One of the things I didn't like about Exact was how messy the feed was! And then when I hit him, it was hard as a rock when he woke up. It didn't smell very good either. Not to mention that the ingredients are not that good. I did a little research and then bought this…
