Useful product in exhaust

I used this product to wrap the exhaust pipe on my 2011 Polaris Ranger 800XP. In my experience, two of my friends have used this product to lower the exhaust temperatures on their bikes. It seems to help.

Supplier exceeded expectations

Not having the film he ordered sent the next large batch at no extra charge. This actually turned out to be a good thing as the work required more than expected due to its geometry. The installation instructions were pretty clear and the results were good.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons

Exhaust Heat Shield - Inferno Foil

I wrapped the exhaust pipe for a Caterpillar C-15 diesel engine in a Country Coach Magna Chalet to improve fuel economy. Together with the insulation of the intake pipes before and after the intercooler, this should lead to a significant increase in efficiency. The Inferno Foil was easy to install even with the contortions required in the tight engine compartment!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Could have gone for a newer model

Great Product - Exhaust

I have never used thermal wrap but have been working on cars for 20 years. I can say this is a quality product. It was used to wrap the different length manifold along with the top and bottom pipes on the Subaru sti and there is noticeably less heat in the engine bay with limited usage. I can't verify how long it will last, but from what I see and what I've done about Header Wrap, it's exactly what the doctor ordered.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Volume

Inferno Exhaust Heat Shield 2 " x 50'

As advertised, the Inferno Exhaust Heat Shield (2" x 50') is easy to install and secure with stainless steel fasteners. The lifespan of this product has yet to be determined. I wrapped a 6 inch exhaust after the turbocharger on a CAT C-15 installed in a diesel RV. I also wrapped the 5" intake pipe with double-sided aluminum insulation after the radiator to improve combustion efficiency. and so MPG for this configuration. Performance indicators have not yet been determined.

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results
Cons
  • Modern

The best end of the period.

I've wrapped some headers and top tubes in DEI and Thermo Tec products and found them to work well in some cases, like my 94 Sentra and 04 TSX, but 05 STi were they it will only become brittle and fall off. Then I saw these guys at SEMA and decided to try the damn foiling. I wrapped the entire header and appipe and then spent a few trackdays on it. I was very impressed when I was able to remove the ribbons, peel off the packaging and roll it back up, it wasn't fragile at all! I will continue to

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities

How does this substance not burn?

As we enter the 2nd round (2016-2025 I think) of emission standards and fuel consumption minimums, it turns out that the car is in production. get really good emissions by raising operating temperatures. The problem is that the human body is uncomfortable outside and around a car that operates at or above 220°F. The production car is even worse. You save insulation around the cabin, so after a short period of rush hour, heat enters the cabin and no air conditioner can get rid of it. The cab…
