Despite all HP settings, this docking station does not work properly

Bought a docking station for my HP Elitebook. Unfortunately, the monitors are slow when docked (okay if connected directly to the Elite Book) and don't wake up from sleep, requiring a reboot before they're recognized again. There is no information on how to fix this problem and installing the latest drivers etc. did not help.

Works great with my Dell laptop

Coronavirus and home office orders have accelerated my plans to set up a home workstation. This docking station works great with my Dell laptop. Set it up with two monitors and a keyboard and it will be identical to my usual office machine. The only extra things I needed were some patch cords for my monitors (HDMI to dock display port). I'm no techie, but there is enough resource information available to help anyone figure out the settings.

Worked when another dock did not work

I recently received a new Dell Latitude 7290 work laptop and needed a docking station to connect my two HP ZR2740w DisplayPort monitors to it. I was also hoping that the dock would work with my personal 2015 Macbook Pro laptop. I bought a Dell D6000 docking station because they had one at work and they could connect both USB-C and USB-A. Unfortunately, it couldn't find one of my monitors no matter what I did - changed cables, updated drivers, etc. I thought this unit was broken, but when I…

Excellent 4K Dock in Computers & Accessories

After testing on several different computers (HP, Dell, MSI) and with two 4K monitors connected via 2 display ports, I found the following. When first connected via USB-C, Windows Updates loaded the Display Link driver. Both monitors appeared after a few seconds. It had no mouse lag, which made me happy. It also ran both 4k monitors at 60Hz. On one computer, I noticed that the mouse lagged a little when it first logged in, but then stopped after a minute. This computer probably has less power…

    Finally! Docking stations

Finally a docking station that works with my computer! I bought a brand new HP laptop direct from HP along with a docking station. It wasn't compatible. I bought a second one from Best Buy (another brand). It wasn't compatible. I contacted HP to see which dock was compatible and after 5 days of frustration they came back empty handed and told me to research it myself. It was an uncomfortable experience, but that's how I found out that USB-C didn't work as an output on my new computer. This…

    • Some little things

If you are trying to connect 2 monitors to the USB-C port on the HP Pavilion 360 Gen 1, this hub will work! This is the third product I had to purchase before it finally worked. I don't know why finding information on what works and what doesn't is so difficult, but it took me forever to find what I needed. I just want to connect 2 external monitors and it worked like plug n play.

    Fully compatible with MacBook Air

I originally gave this product a 5. It worked fine when I first plugged it in and went about my normal business on my MacBook over the weekend. However, once I started using it for work that involved heavy spreadsheets and heavy Webex and WebexTeams video calls, it stopped keeping my computer charged. Of course I started researching. I have since discovered that the product number on the item shipped does NOT match the product number listed. The product number displayed on Revain is…

Good for multitasking, not good for gaming

If you decide to buy a docking station for your gaming laptop, skip those and go for the 40GB/s Thunderbolt version. or look at eGPU/s. This dock is rated at 5GB/s over USB/C, and if you try to use it while gaming, the I/O lag will cost you the game. big! It has a lot of I/O for me, everything I need goes through one cable! Update: Dock cable fails after 2 months of daily use, contacted HP support and they sent a brand new cable! To be honest I am satisfied with this G2 docking station. I will…

An ideal product for any type of consumer.

There was a corporate hp and their station, but it doesnt lie around for convenience with Lenovo stations. Open it, turn it on, God forbid, close everything, sleep mode, there is little sense from the laptop screen if there is little stationary, you can turn it on in Lenovo without opening the laptop. Only the price is bad, and the docking stations on which the laptop is placed generally cost 32 thousand or more, but those are the most convenient option. In principle, everything suits you, you…

    Pros
    • Working without opening a laptop costs a lot, after all, IBM / Lenovo really thought about people
    Cons
    • The price is still not justified, and the fact that you need to poke the cable back and forth every time you take away the laptop.
