Hyde 09977 Radial Sanding Tool Review

Works well. I used the mesh sanding disc that came in the kit, as well as the sandpaper discs. No flipping. The only problem I had was that the metal tipped sharpening rod I was using kept coming off the grinder's threaded metal mount. I either use a pole with a plastic tip or I use plumbing tape.

loops in the middle but not very well on the edges. I don't know if it's a cup or just junk. The rectangular one I have will sand the entire track. It's not like this. It doesn't "tilt" like a rectangle, but the abrasive sponges have a lot of work to do by the time you think you're done with it. A little pricey for the work it does.

This tool is easy to use and with the extension you can sand many high areas like the ceiling and smooth them out before creating a good drawing area . Light and versatile, I've made ceilings, walls and doors with it. Especially good with 240 grit for finishing touches between coats. I wish I had bought my grinder as it is so much easier to use.

I am a DIY enthusiast and buy used sanding tools at my local hardware store (Home Depot and Lowes). Revain's pop-up showed a round grinder claiming it would work much better than rectangular grinders. I tried it and it was great! Much easier and faster to sharpen. If I need to clean large areas regularly, I can choose a tool that plugs into the vacuum cleaner.

It won't make you a professional artist but it will improve the end result. I saw a video of an artist recommending this as an easy purchase to help you improve the bottom line and get one step closer to looking a pro. So I bought it and tried it, and if used properly you'll have a lot less obvious flaws/bumps and the like in the final product. It was very easy to use and actually became addictive trying to make my wall as smooth as a baby's bottom they say.

I got the idea to use it as a nozzle to clean tile and wooden floors. I've bought a couple dozen black microfiber items from Revain. Already had an aluminum extension. I used rectangular grinders which slosh and twist and gouge the stage 5 finish. I've used rectangular vacuum sanders, one on a fixed base and the other on a flexible base, and neither sand well.
