Like other reviewers I had to screw in the tiniest screw holes to reduce the amount of feed. I have 4 comet goldfish and 3 ruby fish so they overfeed at level 8. I ended up using 1/4" window sealant to make it small enough. When setting the timer, the retaining pieces on either side of the unit broke. I put very little effort into fixing it, so the manufacturer should have dealt with the problem fix the tools. It took a while for the timer to get used to understanding as the direction is bad…

This feeder is great. Now my koi are fed on a regular schedule instead of at random times. I suggest you try it out before putting it in a pond so you know how much feed it will provide and how the program works. The service time is given by the hour, so you cannot set 15, 30, 45 minutes. I feed small portions several times a day. The portions are small and one feeding is enough for up to 9 servings.
