Easy to Use Mac Compatible Scanner

I bought this scanner to convert hundreds of slides my parents took in the 60's and 70's and hadn't seen in about 20 years. This little dia converter is great for them. It's so small, light and easy to use. It transfers the slide image to an SD card, then connect the box to your computer via the USB interface and download the images. You can also just pop an SD card straight into your computer if you have a slot for it. It works great with iphoto if you have a Mac. The moment you plug it in and

ImageLab Slide Scanner

When I looked at the ImageLab Slide Scanner I was skeptical that some people might like it and some people might not. Since I needed something for work, I decided to buy a slide scanner and just take a chance and let it work for me. Well I used it the same day I received it and found it gives great results. No matter what I read, it takes a complete fool to screw it up. I had no PROBLEMS and the device worked exactly as intended. My only complaint is how do I get replacement drawers? You getโ€ฆ

ImageLab Slide Scanner

The device is satisfactory. Advantages: 1. Easy to use. No complicated settings, software, transfers, etc.2. Each slide is scanned and transmitted in the shortest possible time. Disadvantages: 1. The slide compartments are small (ie only three slides can be scanned at a time).2. Since the initial use is easy, any improvements must be made after scanning and transferring. Also, many slide-to-digital conversions look bad (mainly color and contrast).3. Works best when you install an additionalโ€ฆ

Scanner Imagelab FS5CO5 5 neg

I have done about 1000 scans so far and overall I like the scanner. The price is right, but there are a few trade-offs if you're critical of the details. First the cons - the 35mm image is not fully captured when scanned. You need to crop the image to some extent. I would estimate it at 10-15%. Sometimes it's difficult. The color rendering is also bad. Most old negs I make aren't that good anyway, but the color isn't very accurate. Pros: The price is right. Good flexibility when using a memoryโ€ฆ

Better than nothing.

Imagelab FS5CO5 5 megapixel slide and negative scanner produces blurry results. It's better than nothing, but if you still have a slide projector, you can get better results by projecting slides and taking photos with a digital camera. I scanned a few slides, some Kodachrome, some Ektachrome, some faint, some fairly well balanced, and then scanned the same images on a Nikon slide scanner and compared the results. The price difference between Nikon and Imagelab is $900 and the scan results showโ€ฆ

Great idea, terrible execution

I was very excited about this product and despite some questionable reviews I decided to take a chance. I lost. Like other reviewers, I had a problem putting some of the negatives in the tray. When I crop the sides they fit, but that leads to other problems - often the frame number is there, and cropping removes that number and I lose the order of my images. Some of the negatives fit well, although they didn't fit before I closed the negative compartment lid. When I try the same trick with some

I love this thing! - Scanner and accessories

I am so happy with this slide scanner! It's easy, convenient, reliable and most importantly, I get great photos! I'm so glad I waited to get the one that uses the SC card. I've already scanned almost 700 slides and I'm going to watch them on my big screen TV after I've been up all night. My TV has an SC card slot and it's like watching slides on my parents' old screen in their living room. The quality of the pictures is even better than I dared hope. I also love just sitting on the couch andโ€ฆ

Dirty Imagelab isn't ergonomic either S/b ImagINE Lab

When dust gets into the Imagelab FS5CO5 gizmo - and it definitely will - there seems to be no way to blow it out. You have the same stains on all your negatives. The negative and slide holders are difficult to open. For slides: The image size obtained (left and right edge) does not match what is displayed on the small LED screen. . it crops part of the edge of the image. In other words, the aspect ratio of 35mm slides and negatives does not match the aspect ratio of the device's LED screenโ€ฆ
