Frame fabric covered with wire stitching

Restcloud actually has some great butterfly cases and I've never had a problem with them. But as soon as I unfolded the folded case, the frame buckled and the ends of the wires stuck out. To return.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Minor issues

Excellent Habitat for Monarchs

I started with a small cage but soon found I had so many caterpillars that I needed a larger cage. There are many options but this one is quite large and will hold a lot of them and it's easy to clean the cage and feed them. I highly recommend this cage.

  • Excellent Overall

Butterfly aviary - rectangular!

Arrived quickly and in excellent condition. To me, a square body is much stronger than a large cylindrical one. A strong wind hit us one night and it didn't tip over. Perfect as there were about 40 black swallow cats in it!

Good living environment for living environment

Beautifully built. Pay attention to the size in the description! This will not contain a potted milkweed plant. I bought this small size for my monarch eggs and small caterpillars. However, the wind can blow away this lightweight habitat. I put a large rock on its side to hold the weight.

Good habitat for growing butterflies

Very strong, good size, now has 11 pupae hanging from the top and 5 more caterpillars, increasing in size every hour. The zip opening is a very good size and makes it easy to fit more dairy herbs into their food habitat. This living space is excellent value for money. I recommend it to anyone interested in breeding butterflies.

  • Endurance test results

Excellent protection against caterpillars!

I have a real problem with my butterfly caterpillars which prey on little wasps that lay their eggs on cats and then when they make their cocoon the eggs hatch and eat the pupating black death caterpillar! This is perfect for protecting them, feeding them inside and then they can attach themselves to a fine pupation net - so easy to set up - it just pops out of the folded state! Just trying to help the poor waning monarchs a little :)

Caterpillar activity easy to observe

I use a mesh cage to keep caterpillars in their final stages of development, including the pupa, safe and free from insects. The cage offers space for the plant, large clippings or individual leaves for feeding. The caterpillar can also easily navigate the cage's materials, climbing up the mesh or even the green stitching to move from floor to ceiling when ready to form a pupa. No need to introduce sticks that can carry insects or insect eggs unfriendly to the monarch.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Expensive

Great product for me!

I love growing monarchs and without a greenhouse it's difficult to keep a full supply of milkweed. Until I get my greenhouse I use them to grow milkweed plants (this protects them from butterflies laying more eggs on them). Now I can easily rotate my plants to and from the butterfly cage when I need a full bush to feed the caterpillars. As you can see, 20" x 20" fits a lot. The locks worked great with no problems. The airflow is great too (I live in Florida and it's hot there!), and you can…

Ideal for raising monarch butterflies

My good friend told me that more than 90% of monarch butterflies would not survive if left in the wild because they are parasitized by tachin flies and with OE parasites are infected. disputes. She told me if eggs are found on my milkweed plants I can pluck the leaves with the eggs, bleach them with a 5% bleach solution to kill the OE spores, and when the eggs hatch, place them on bleached milkweed cuttings in the butterfly habitat . This living space is perfect - it has mesh on 3 sides to…
