Can Serve 2 Purposes (or both at the same time): #1) Can be used as a POE powered 2 Port POE switch #2) Can be used to extend your network cable run past the normal 300 meter distance limitation. POE powered 2 Port switch: Has 1 port in and 2 ports out. Takes incoming POE through the in port and will act as a 2 port unmanaged POE switch through the 2 out ports to 2 more networkable devices. POE and/or Network Range Extender: Allows you to run cable lengths past the tradition 300 feet restriction. Daisy chain up to 2 extenders to run upwards to 900 feet. Requires no local power, you dont need a power source nearby the extender as its simply powered from the incoming POE power from your POE switch or injector at the beginning of the cable run. (POE injector/switch is not included). Wall mountable low profile design. only 3.1" x 3" x 1"

UPDATE May 27, 2019: ** This review is for the ASIN B01DOG3N82 model, NOT the Gigabit model, which unfortunately combines reviews of both models on these Revain pages. ** At the time of writing this article, the device was working without any problems. Configuration (Spring/Summer, US): 2 wired POE ring cameras connected to an ICamPower box (the "Blockโ€), with no more than 80 meters of Cat5e cable running on any one camera); The unit is housed in a dust and watertight LeMotech IP65 ABSโ€ฆ

Great tool for your "trick bag "

This is great to keep in your trick kit. How many times have you been asked to connect two desks in an office with just one POE port? I know it would be better to run the new wire back to the nearest circuit breaker, but sometimes this is impractical or cannot be done in the time required. Just plug it into a POE socket and you now have two POE sockets. You don't have to deal with 5-port switches, power supplies, power injectors, etc. This is a two port switch that delivers POE to both portsโ€ฆ

Excellent product! This solved a very difficult connection problem with my extended ethernet network. I have a home/farm complex that needs about 800 feet between the router and the end workstations, which is too far for a reliable signal. I ended up using four ethernet switches from the router to the end stations with the following jumps: 160 feet; 300 feet; 100 feet, 140 feet. The new IPCamPower POE receives POE from a POE switch in the farm 100 meters from home and works great! This deviceโ€ฆ

Success depends on the power of what you apply.

I have tested with the Cisco SG300 PoE+ switch and various PoE devices. Case 1: An R310 Wireless PoE Access Point from R310 has been connected to the downlink. Unfortunately, the bandwidth for this device was not sufficient. Case 2: Two (2) 10" Control4 T3 home automation touch screens connected to this unit and both worked fine. Touch screens have been claimed to draw a maximum of 13 watts each. So every case is different but this is a great device that you should have on hand, especially ifโ€ฆ

Necessary thing! - Networking products

Unique must-have tool (requires no power). Take any POE or DATA Ethernet cable and split it in two. Take any POE Ethernet cable and extend it over 300 feet. Life saving, especially when working with POE cameras. EXAMPLE: You have completed a video surveillance implementation and determined that you need a different view. Yes, you can run another cable (usually a big hassle) - OR, if you have this great product, you can take your existing camera cable and split it in two. Just install it at theโ€ฆ

Didn't work as intended as a switch. . .

Bought one and connected two POE IP devices and only one of them could be seen at a time. I thought the first device was defective so I bought a second one and it worked the same way. Bought several alternative POE splitters that also claimed to be switches and all worked great. I don't know why this model doesn't work with my devices, so I sent it back. That does not work. Also emailed the manufacturer and got no response so that was the last straw.

Working electronics

Works well. considering some very important factors. First, look at the total power consumption. My cameras are rated at 6.5 watts. Of course they add up to 13W, but that doesn't take into account the power draw of the splitter, which also draws power. Standard PoE is 15.4W. My cameras would not work at night because the IR was drawing the full 6.5 watts and overloading the splitter. So, I have a PoE+ injector with a power of about 30 watts. Worked fine for a while. not the last few weeks. Theโ€ฆ
