Clip Junky Best in Hand Tools

Of the 4 in the pack, 2 are already broken and won't cut after about 4 or 5 clips. I thought I could take a chance with the Jorgensen name and make it in China, but I was wrong. I don't think Jorgenson ever really tested them. They never felt tight, and with stripping I suspect too much plastic and not enough metal.

The small release lever is impractical.

I have several different types of this type of woodworking toggle. The little recessed black lever on them isn't as easy to operate as the other types I have that use a separate little lever. The release lever, which is recessed in the main lever, only makes them a bit difficult to access, especially with gloves. It's also worth noting that the 6-inch openings are actually smaller than you might imagine - I often find times I wish they would open just an inch or two more. So consider buying a…

Jorgensen comes down!

These things are awesome in my book. They close faster than the other guys. The release is now in a fantastic location. Can you combine them to double their size and turn them into shakers?! Come on. has reinvented the quick release. These are amazing things. However, when you start using "Made in China" materials, you end up with a "Made in China" product with something we all love. Quality "Made in China". sorry China. For the record, I was pressing the flashlight against the back of my chair

I had a hard time tightening them

I bought some 4x4s to do some projects in my new old house and apparently the virus has the lumber delivery to the big stores, or maybe they, in Won't be harvested, but trying to find wood that didn't split most of the time was incredibly difficult, so I bought them, stuck liquid nails into the 1/4 inch wide splits and pressed as hard as I could, but the columns would not yield. My age can be an issue as I've lost a lot of the strength that I had in my younger years so I don't recommend it if…

Quality clip from experienced maker

Works well. Satisfied with the controllability of the clamping pressure. All of my other Jorgenson clamps use threads for tightening and have spoiled me. The purchase price was higher than I had planned, but there were four in the pack, which made it a fair price (rather lower in value) in my opinion. Processing, high-quality materials. I expect they will last longer than my economical versions. Some of my Jorgenson clamps have been in service for 30 years and are getting more and more…

Best so far: Spreader clamps

I use them a lot. The way you can really tell a good quality print is after lots of heavy use, falling, spilling and scraping lots of glue. The Dewalt heavy duty clamps were ok, Woodriver (Woodcraft brand) ok, but they tend to pull or push pieces of wood when tightened because the clamp heads don't connect perfectly straight. They don't seem to have much play so they come together quite square. Because of this I can glue them on and not have to level the wood as much. They have pretty good…

Strong smooth ratchet

Very easy to use, very easy to turn into a spreader and connect the two together. These Jorgensen clamps practice and maintain clamping force, they don't lose the tension you applied the last time you squeeze. All power is transferred to the ratchet and is not lost when the trigger is released. The release is not binding or requires the use of both hands. The pads are well integrated and try not to slip at all. Snapping together, which is what they're designed for, provides a secure clamp and…

More clamps. more and more clips

I love these Jorgenson clips. I have a few of these in large sizes, both new and old (before they basically went bankrupt as a company and were bought by a decent Great Star company in China who revived them). To be honest, Great Star successfully makes these clips and when you compare them to two generations of older clips you can hardly tell the difference. Some of the other Pony/Jorgenson items aren't as good as they used to be, but these clips are definitely good. The pads on these are a…

Great reversible jaws and weird trigger

These clips make love and hate. As the saying goes, you can never have enough clamps. So when I needed a few more I decided to try these because I respect the quality of Jorgensen tools. generous, and the grip coverage is excellent. The build quality is what you would expect from their products. The absolute best part of the clamp is the reversible end jaw, which is a brilliant idea. A push of a large, easy-to-access button releases the entire end of the clip so you can flip it over to make an…

Great Screw Clamps, General Purpose

Irwin is one of the world's most common names for one handed tools, aka "quick releases" and I have owned several of their screw clamps for use in a variety of household settings for several years. House work. One of my main complaints, which I have always had with Irwin clamps, is that the non-scratch pads came off after only a few uses, so I always had trouble getting them to grip, clamp something, and then stop. what I did to track my steps around the yard or house to find the spot where the
