Decent tool, great price.

You get what you pay for but overall the job got done and didn't let me down. The nut on the back kept loosening and annoying, but given the price I paid for the tool, it wasn't too bad to keep an eye on while driving. The tool is strong, heavy and does the job. Just use your common sense and it will work for you.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • I don't have much to complain about, everything is fine

Great tool, fits tools and equipment

I took the advice of other reviewers and sprayed all moving parts. The scooter worked perfectly, I had no problems with it. The YouTube videos have been very helpful since I first used this tool. The tool itself came with no instructions. Unlike the others, I had no problem aligning the screw holes (5 x 114.3). My advice would be to take your time.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Amazing price but far from ideal.

I would like to give 5 stars but the design is clearly poor. For that price, you could buy a new one every time you build a car. The threads are broken in the process, so you can only use a certain range of the main thread setting. It will no longer fully "occur". The washers that came with it are useless. The outer walls have been pinched to the point where I can't switch it to a different hinge hole. If you just need a cheap ride it's worth every penny so don't let the three stars stop you…

Exceptional Value: Tools and Equipment

The product exceeded my expectations. I was skeptical about the quality after reading conflicting reviews. I have to tell you this thing works great. After watching a YouTube video on assembly, this tool worked great as there were no instructions. I was able to fold my quad panel without much difficulty. I used it on a 2006 wrx and had enough room on the lowest settings to do it. If you have large wheel arches, there are no problems. Older cars have smaller openings, but I had enough room for a

Works great and looks great!

It works. I bought this for two reasons. (1) I enjoy learning and modifying my own machine, and (2) the cost of this tool is equal to or even greater than the cost of someone else providing the same service. I was able to properly roll up two quarter panels on my car using a heat gun. The learning curve for this setup is short. You can easily watch videos online on how to use it. Only impatience could lead to a bad result. My only problem was the packaging. It had styrofoam inside which falls…

Read Before Use!: Tools & Equipment

I have purchased 2 of these tools. My first purchase on ebay was broken and I got my money back. This one works fine BUT you have to do a few things to make sure it doesn't break. #1 Lubricate the center screw liberally, especially where it engages what the tool is actually adjusting. If you don't lubricate it with a lube or something, it will break and bind, rendering the tool useless! #2 Lightly grease the nut and washers holding the center bolt in place. If you don't do this, the friction…

This tool used to cost $400. Now that Eastwood has started making $89 versions, they've dropped, and this $49 Chinese version is even cheaper. The problem with this version is the lack of a hole at the end of the main adjustment screw. More expensive versions had a drilled hole, slotted nut and cotter pin to secure the end. Current Chinese versions only come with a disposable nylon lock nut and two thick spacers. It will be appreciated that rotation of the bolt rotates the nut and one gasket…

An annoying design flaw, but it gets the job done!

Used this tool to roll the rear fenders on my Miata. The packaging was ok, the assembly instructions are just a black and white photo of the tool. I just looked at an image of the tool online to get an idea of how it works together. The tool hardly ever cleans small cars, I wouldn't use it on anything smaller than a Miata. I had completely removed the lever for the entire process, but luckily it still had some wiggle room to get the reel to do its job. After a little work he rolled the edge of…
