Left handed? This book is great!

Not only are the stitches well described, this is the first book I've seen that shows how to embroider like a left hander! Unless you are left handed you have no idea how tedious it is to figure out how to make an embroidery stitch that is the opposite of what is shown in the picture. I highly recommend this book!

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • It's hard to remember but it was

I bought this book because several girls in my sewing class had copies. There are lots of stitches and, which is nice, illustrations for left-handed stickers. The small book has a spine, so it is easy to fold and stand up when embroidering. Also fits in your handbag. Convenient guide.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • There are nuances

Great book for right and left handers!

One of the few books showing stitches for left hand embroidery. Look inside and you will see all the stitches in this book, and towards the end is a pattern page showing the left hand on one side and the right hand on the other. This book is upright so you can hold it open in front of you while trying to embroider. This book is smaller and easily fits in a sewing box. That's a little over 1/2 sheet of paper. Excellent book!

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

So much information that it is eye-opening!

This is a handy little book. It's 192 pages of great information. The instructions are clear drawings (with left and right hand pictures) and a small sketch of the actual stitch on the fabric. The only downside is that some of the photos use fine stitches, you can't see the details very well. OK, I can handle that. Explains everything very clearly, even for a beginner like me. I'm dying to do every stitch there! It even features ribbon embroidery. This book is worth its weight in gold.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Poor set

Easy to use and follow

This small, upright book includes instructions and illustrations for both right and left handed users for each stitch. One thing I didn't expect was the use of ribbons in many of the stitches. I'm not interested in that at the moment, but it doesn't hurt to have her around. Also included are variations on a specific stitch. There are so few left-handed sticker books or videos out there that this book stands out for its usefulness and comprehensive coverage. Also includes tips and stitch guide…

Instructions for left-handers and right-handers.

are shown for each stitch step. This is one of the best embroidery tutorials out there and it's written so you can see it all in front of you. Pages rub off when spilled. I've been looking for this book for a long time but it's always sold out. If you find it, take it, you won't be disappointed. I've been embroidering for 50 years and I've found stitches here that I've never seen before. I was so excited to receive this book. It was the perfect combination from my book, Elegant Stitches…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons

Another book that doesn't have everything

This book is great for all the different stitches for any type of embroidery. The main disadvantage is that the overhead spiral forces you to turn the whole book over to read it. However, the worst flaw is that they do NOT show the stitch on the embroidered item. You have no idea what it's supposed to look like. how it should be presented. (There is a microscopic image less than an inch square with poor color definition that doesn't do the trick.) I like having a photo that gives me great ideas

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Expensive

A very useful tool.

I think I expected more than I got - HOWEVER - nothing was specified. I think I was hoping for more than just stitching. Based on the cover I thought I would see colorful examples of good size photos. There are photos, but they're thumbnail size and I have to keep picking them up to see when I need a reminder. The stitch tutorials are computer generated drawings and sometimes the stitch doesn't match the thumbnail of the photo, which then makes me wonder. if i do it right (Feather Stitch is one

Awesome Embroidery Stitch Bible

This is an embroidery stitch guide specially designed for quilt enthusiasts. It's a very small book - just a guess, I'd say no more than four inches by five. But it's rolled up and stands on its own so you can lay it next to you as you embroider to see how the stitches you make work. The instructions are simple and clear, fully illustrated and the instructions are for both left and right handed people! never heard before. Many are designed to work in a straight line to cover the seams of your…
