I bought this bag of mealworms as a treat for our red-eared turtles. Other turtle foods contain mealworms as an ingredient. When I poured these clean mealworms into the aquarium, the turtles went crazy for their high-protein treat. Much cheaper than buying from turtle food manufacturers. would recommend.

Yummy! I'm just having fun. Sooner or not, these things are for the birds. The bag was full, no bad smell and the birds seemed to like it. Too expensive to stew alone, so I mix sunflower seeds with black oil. I don't notice any new birds that I haven't seen before, which is what I was hoping for. However, the product is as advertised.

My pet chicken loves them! I think the high protein content also cured them of a serious illness! Now my dog is interested in her. just great! I spent five minutes going through all the dried mealworm options that met the Prime shipping criteria, and this was not only the best price per ounce, but also the smallest quantity available and the best brand name. go with it! These mealworms are amazing. With their help, I was able to attract pygmy wrens and thrushes. They even eat crested tits. They are so good that sometimes a wren will just sit on my bird feeder and eat a dozen of them. On the one hand they love it, but on the other hand they love it too much. I won't keep filling the feeder with mealworms, it's just expensive, so I give this to our wild birds every now and then as a small treat.

I have thrushes that nest in a bird feeder where they find a home. This is great because the walls are clean and we can watch the three chicks grow up while the parents feed them. Our bluebirds are sitting on the deck rail waiting for me to post this in the morning. When Mr. and Mrs. Bluebird have eaten their makeshift filling, the wrens move in and snag as many as they can. Our feeder is caged so only small birds can reach the mealworms, but I still have to refill it daily. None of our feathered friends showed any interest in these mealworms. I haven't seen any of them at the feeding station and the cup has been full for a week now. There are a couple of California bush jays that visit my yard regularly and they love these worms. It took me a while to gain the pair's trust and now the male actually lands in my hand to eat them. It eats for a while, then stuffs as many worms into its beak as it can carry and flies away. A good addition to your standard bird feeder to attract birds eating pests in your garden. satisfied.
