Not bad, but not good enough

I have no particular complaints about this keyboard. Here I compare it to Keychron K1 v4 which I prefer. Cons: The low profile k1 makes it easy to switch to a laptop keyboard without trying to smash the laptop keyboard. The k8 has a certain tendency to press further + harder, which doesn't work well with the flat taps on a laptop keyboard. I never intentionally use the CapsLock key. Unfortunately, the CapsLock indicator is on the other side of the keyboard on the k8. On k1 v4 it's not far from…

Good keyboard but still not comparable to Hiends

I've been using the Das keyboard for a very long time and I still think it's the most comfortable keyboard. However, they don't have a wireless keyboard, and I always want wireless devices to make my desktop cleaner. Before that, I used a Logitech wired mechanical gaming keyboard for a while, which I also really like. I also tried the Logitech G915, but I don't like the short key travel. The keychron buttons have a different feel, I understand they use different switches, which may be better…

Perfect for my needs

I have a PC, a few Linux computers and a MacBook Pro on my desk and for the last 12 months I've gotten tired of having to use multiple keyboards. The Keychron K8 is great for me as I now have it paired to my MBP and Linux machines via Bluetooth while keeping it connected to my PC with the cable that came with it. Switching between systems is smooth and I prefer the keyless layout. I haven't tried swapping shortcut keys, but I'd happily replace the Gateron Blues with clickier switches like the…

Wanted to love it but failed

I was looking for a cheap mechanical keyboard and really wanted to love the k8 as many of my friends recommended the Keychron as one of the best first mechanical keyboards for price and quality. Of course my friends bought the K2 version, I wanted special hands and decided on the K8. First, if it's just based on input. Of the other keyboards I tried, I typed the least on the K8. I really enjoyed typing here and liked that there is an option to align the keyboard. My fingers felt pretty natural…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • So so

It's ok there are brown switches which should be quieter but still feel good. And what it does is it's nice to type on, but it's so big and the angle is very uncomfortable. You'll need something to lift your arms off the table about 1 cm so you don't hurt your wrists. The second part is Bluetooth - when it comes to this feature, the product is in the pre-alpha stage. If I were Keychron I wouldn't post such a terrible implementation. I used to think they were the bomb given the reviews and…

Excellent beginner-friendly modding platform

Highly recommended modding platform for newcomers to the world of mechanical keyboards! Surprised by the excellent quality, standard keycaps, durability and built-in features. (Note: I don't use Bluetooth, I used a wired connection and most of the negative reviews on this please read on, otherwise this is my personal review as a gamer, streamer and keyboard enthusiast.) First of all, a day came along, that was very impressive. And when I opened the package, I saw a very good keyboard and thick…

Good Mechanical Keyboard for Mac

I bought one of these to use with a MacBook Pro that I use for work after getting tired of typing or trying to use the built in keyboard to use a KVM PC keyboard with my windows desktop. In general, it seems difficult to find decent Mac keyboard options that don't cost an arm and a leg, and Keychron seems to be the only mechanical keyboard manufacturer that offers decent Mac support. Hot-swappable switches are also a plus. The current keyboard on my desktop at home is a HyperX Alloy FPS Pro TKL

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Requires a Power Socket
