It's great! My son has SPD and can only wear very soft shorts and he was very happy wearing them and loved how they sit perfectly on his hips without slipping. My son is 5 years old and wears a size 6 but I took the size according to other reviews and took a size 7/8 (medium). Fits perfectly. Also loved the salmon color.

Good length. Waist and legs are large. The haircut is more for boys. The lace is for beauty only, does not tighten the waist. My 10 year old daughter needs longer shorts (recommended knee length) for church camp she is attending. It is very difficult to find girls in long shorts. They'll do the job, but I can guarantee she won't wear them anywhere else. I have to tuck my waist in because the drawstring doesn't work. Would like to have more colors to choose from.

These shorts are very lightweight and perfect for hot weather. My daughter is tall and thin. She normally wears a size 10. The large shorts fit her but are loose at her waist. The laces on these shorts are decorative and completely non-functional. However, it was very easy to remove the decorative drawstring and put on a real drawstring. The lace holes are open and the lace channel is free of seams. After I inserted the functional drawstring, these shorts fit perfectly.
