I like it, thanks for the quality product.

If you could remove the protection mode, it would be much better! I understand that there are other flash drives for this, but still I liked this one the most in terms of price / quality / speed of work. With its pros: Metal body, high read/write speed. It is convenient that the cap can be put on the other side of the flash drive during use. Some cons: Unfortunately for me this is the inability to remove the data protection mode

In general, it's pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

There are still no analogues and competitors :( With its pros. + Access to the protected area is implemented in the only convenient way: after inserting an unencrypted pseudo-CD into the slot, after it is launched, a program for entering a password opens, after correct input, an encrypted disk is connected like a regular flash drive. Some cons: - The password program dates back to 2022. - The flash drive "falls off" when the laptop hibernates or sleeps. - After the flash drive "fell off"…

Need to protect a file with a password? TAKE IT!

I needed to protect a Word document that contained passwords and usernames. Not wanting to bother with key codes on other USB sticks available, I went with this one. Works perfectly. My steps: 1. Inserted Data Traveler Locker on my desktop2. Clicked on the F-Drive launcher, clicked on the "Agree" button 3. Set my Master Password4. Uploaded a Word document to a new G5 drive. I turned down cloud storage as I don't need it and don't need it and left6. Removed data locker from my desktop7. Reinsert

How to use it correctly for flash drives

I stumbled a bit on how this works and thought I'd share my experience with some non-technical folks. If you click the This PC or My Computer icon, it will appear as a DVD-RW drive. It confused me at first because I didn't expect it to be called DVD. But it's easily recognizable by the red plaque with the Kingston symbol on it. Once you click on it, start everything by clicking on the .exe file. This serves as a password. As soon as you have successfully logged in, you will be shown the files…

MAC users should not buy these

Right out of the box, this device did not work with the latest (June 27th) version of MAC OS. I have contacted support. I was told that the update will be available sometime in August. In August, they said the release would be available in September. Your update is not here since 09/12/19. Meanwhile, MAC has updated its operating system again. (By the way, the tech support chat operator was blunt about Kingston being a "PC-centric company". Keep up the MAC updates and eventually this drive…

This is my 4th, does that mean anything?

I started buying these for storing sensitive data a few years ago. After a year of daily use, I bought a new device and copied all the data from the old device to the new one. I don't know if it was really necessary or not, but I figured it couldn't hurt and it gave me an annual backup of the device's contents. I've been doing this for four years and haven't had any problems with these devices. By inserting these into your computer (I've only used them on Windows systems with USB ports), you…

Secure USB drive to transfer important documents

I like to use a USB drive to sync important documents between my desktop and PC and Mac laptops. But it would be a disaster if anyone got hold of the data. This USB drive is a bit tricky as every time you plug it in it only opens the shared drive with the decryption app for the rest. Windows doesn't always run this application well, so you may have to start it manually. But then it's easy to give it a password the first time and provide that password in future use. After entering the password…

    Works as expected - almost

I bought this because I needed a secure USB drive to store my sensitive files. There are a few nuances to consider, and I'm not sure they'll work for all users and all systems. On my laptop, when the flash drive is plugged in and the app doesn't launch, the drive first shows up as a DVD-RW drive. I like it but it fooled me at first as I didn't think the drive was mounted. When you open the DVD volume, you will see an application called DTLplus_Launcher. Again, this doesn't start automatically…

Affordable data protection on the go

This is a good solution for people who need to store personal information off the computer in public places and are looking for an easy way to prevent unauthorized access to that information. more expensive options, like USB keyboard drives that advertise "military-grade" encryption, and physical cases that destroy the device if someone tries to open it. Since these types of devices use a lithium battery, I was wondering what would happen to your data if the battery eventually died. Anyway, I…

Excellent transfer speed, good first impression.

As with all new flash drives that I receive, I read and write to the drive to make sure the drive is working properly and I haven't found a counterfeit or defect. So far this drive has performed great, as you can see from my tests on a USB 3.0 port I was able to get a read speed of 137.73MB/s and a write speed of 23.41MB/s. This was done using the flash drive test tool and I did 3 full write and read cycles. The software screenshot shows that I only ran 1 because I accidentally closed the…

    LOST NINETY ESSENTIAL VIDEOS

Gone Forever. If you are willing to risk your precious files, be prepared that they WILL DISAPPEAR FOREVER. I have ordered four in the last month (two unopened). They will all be returned to Revain and I feel obligated to warn other consumers so that the same horror does not happen to anyone else. A wonderful product, it's nice to use.

I decided to leave a review after more than 2 years of use. Basically bought for study (text files). The maximum speed when writing files from the screen, which I noticed, was 44.2 MB / s. Number of files: 6484 (I uploaded another small one at the same time). Before recording, about 200 MB were occupied on the drive. At the end, 1.34 GB is free. The flash drive gets very hot during such a long copy. Has time to cool down to lukewarm in between calls, if I work on it. On the left, the result of…

Best thing for the money, glad I did it.

I recently bought it, for work, I have to transfer a lot of information about clients, projects and so on. Therefore, a reliable flash drive was needed, and its volume and assembly were at its best. The case is made of metal, password protection is present. In general, no one will climb there just a little. Yes, and the data transfer rate is high, interface 3.0 is the same. But now I am calm. If someone steals it, they will enter the wrong password 10 times, and all information will be erased.

    Pros
    • The data transfer rate is high, made with high quality, design. Metal case, hardware encryption
    Cons

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the product suited me, the price is generally perfect.

What the flash drive is interested in is data protection, sometimes you have to carry quite important files, and then you enter the wrong password 10 times and bam - the data is lost. Somehow calmer for corporate secrets. And the flash drive itself is quite reliable, it writes data in both directions quickly enough, the speeds are uniform and not bumpy. The coating of the case is durable and does not collect scratches on itself, unless it is specially deformed. What pleases (especially with a…

    Pros
    • High-quality protection, fast in work, does not heat up.
    Cons
