My 13 lb Maine Coon can get out of this harness in seconds and it does. In addition, the velcro is closed from below and is very difficult to put on. Finally, her long fur gets caught in the Velcro, making it difficult to put on, but interestingly, doesn't prevent her from getting out of it. This is the third harness I've tried. much cheaper. Don't waste your money if you have a really passive cat.

I didn't know how my house cat would react if I put him in this thing. Day 1-3 he was just a statue outside haha. After bringing him in, I gave him a treat. On the fourth day he walked as if he didn't even have a vest on. On the seventh day he was chasing another cat and I followed him, it was embarrassing as hell. So yeah, 5 stars fits well, I don't think it's getting out of there. My cat LOVES it and actually throws a tantrum after I bring him in and take his vest off, it's crazy.

My 20lb red cat hates harnesses and can usually escape in seconds. Kitty's holster is an exception: Not only can our cat not run away, he also has to wear a Kitty holster. With other harnesses he threw himself on the ground and refused to go; With a kitty holster, he rides on a leash as if he had nothing on. The extra large size is a bit tight but I can easily close the velcro and it stays in place. We are very happy with the product.

Wanted to take my two large house cats outside and these harnesses work great. I've bought several sizes and have found the medium/large to be the best for both, although a little tight for my slightly larger cat, around 18-20lbs. I put an XL holster on him, it's more comfortable but if he gets mad he can get out of it just because it's a bit big for him. I still use it. The velcro is strong but my cats don't really pull or overdo it when they go outside. Mostly they squat down and look around.

Not very suitable for cats. My cat's neck matched the measurements on the product page and was too big. She can slip out of it whenever she wants. I tried to make it as tight as possible and it was still possible to slip. For a cat, the front part of the harness that wraps around the neck is too thick.
