Excellent for this money.

I'm just starting out with PPL and wanted to have my own headset so I didn't have to borrow it, but I didn't want to spend a ton in advance. I've used these on two flights now. The sound quality was good and the mic picked up everything I said. Even at low volume, I haven't had any hearing problems with CFI in the 172nd grade we train in. The ear pads were relatively comfortable and I had enough adjustment options for my unusually large head. I would highly recommend them to any beginner or as…

Inexpensive, but by no means cheap.

I am an aircraft mechanic and private pilot. These headsets are very smart and comfortable. I have personally used them on over 50 different GA aircraft. Mooney, Piper, Cessna, Beechcraft, American Champion, LSA all worked flawlessly. As mechanics, they are often deployed on site in South Texas. Even in the high summer heat and cabin temperature, they remained comfortable to wear. The microphone is clear with a good tone, the speakers are of good quality and remain crisp even at high volume…

Basically David Clarke, for a small price.

I will not say that this is the best headset, it is not. If you want the best, just buy the Bose A20 and you're done. However, you don't always want the best, especially when you need an extra pair of headsets for passengers, as spares, or for a local club. We had some David Clark devices for this function, which can be considered the industry standard, but they cost over $400. After buying the Kore Aviation P1, I was amazed: they are 4 times cheaper, and once I almost did not feel the…

Good quality for the price

I ordered this headset because it was the cheapest I could find and with good reviews. I immediately bought gel pads for him, as I saw in the reviews that they are better. The first headset I bought didn't work and my flight instructor couldn't hear me no matter how hard we tried to change the settings on the plane. Unfortunately, my free return period has expired, but I was able to get some of my money back and bought another set. That's what I use now and I've had no problems with it. I hear…

Great quality while

I was in dire need of a cheap flight school headset and fully expected to get something similar to what I have repaired so many times for other schools. I haven't seen this brand yet though and now I'm hoping it's because they don't need to be repaired as often. I wasn't expecting much given the price but when I actually used them I was very pleasantly surprised. The sound is nice and clear, it blocks noise effectively, and the mic is sensitive enough to be useful but not so sensitive as to…

Pros

  • not sure

You get what you pay for. Very good price, really for students on a budget. I actually had a problem with mine - I tried to taxi to the runway but ground control couldn't hear me - messed up all the controls but still couldn't hear me. Earth said they wouldn't let me roll/take off, luckily I still had my old headphones so I had to replace them with my old ones, which obviously worked - Earth could hear me loud and clear and was on my way. .Like I said - you get what you pay for. This is a very…

READ PLEASE! ACCURATE RATING!

PLEASE READ! because this is probably the most accurate review you will find about this headset. I say this because I have several friends who also use this headset and we've been using it for two years now - all have the same opinion on it. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY! I gave 5 stars because they are very reliable. I have used this headset during and after private pilot training. Not once in the two years I've been using them have they failed me for a second. Not a single communication problem. This…
