Not for frozen mosquito larvae.

total waste. I should have listened to the feedback but it looked just like the one I had decades ago and it really worked. The worms just sat in a lump on the floor. Maybe live bloodworms will work when swaying. Don't buy it for frozen mosquito larvae.

Doesn't work so well with frozen mosquito larvae

I love that you can use it as a feeding cone or feeding ring. And I love that it can either stand on the suction cup or float. But I bought it to use with frozen bloodworms and the slots are too small, the frozen bloodworm won't go through the holes and end up teasing the fish. I ended up using a razor blade to cut some large holes.

Great container for Artemia

This is perfect for my angelfish. I buy these frozen artemia cubes from the pet store and this keeps them while they thaw. My angels spend about 15 minutes each day pulling shrimp out of the slots in this cone. In the past, floating cubes would often end up in a corner or get tangled up in plants, making it difficult for fish to find them. I have already ordered a second one for my other aquarium!

No More Clutter Best of all at Fish & Aquatic Pets

This feeder is bigger than I thought it would be, but no problem. I dropped in a frozen bloodworm cube and placed it in my 100 gallon community tank. All of my rainbows, the pygmy gourami and even one of the yoyo loaches took to it right away. I couldn't even get it to stick to the glass before attacking it lol. The suction on the cup sucks and the fish didn't have a chance to squeeze it. But so far the cone is working well so I'm satisfied.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Great and durable product, but ONLY ONE.

Excellent cone. I highly recommend you buy this cone and not the cheaper $7.10 option. It will just take longer and be more effective. That being said, don't make the stupid mistake I made (which was entirely my fault) of thinking you get three of these. It is a suction cup, a ring and a cone forming three parts. In the end I'm glad I bought it because of the quality of the materials.

Pros
  • Nice packaging

I'm surprised! for feeders

I just wasn't expecting much from this feeder, but I have an angelfish and wanted to try it. This little thing doesn't come with instructions, so I set mine in a corner with the edge of the feeder about 1/2 inch above the water. (The hardest part was getting the suction cup straight.) Load it with dried mosquito larvae. Then I leaned back in my chair and waited. Angelfish are very, very curious creatures. This is part of their attraction. The fish was at the feeding place in seconds! This…

Frozen bloodworms have been banned

Let me first say that I understand the item description says it's great for live worms. Knowing this, I bought it for use with frozen worms and it didn't work. I tried just throwing the dice, I tried to push thawed worms to the bottom, they did not noticeably stick out, and after leaving them for an hour, my fish did not pay attention to the cone. Another issue I noticed is that the suction cup is attached to the cone and puts it at an odd angle when you want it to be at water level. It also…

great for axolotls for feeders

I like this cone. I feed this to my young axolotls so I don't have to feed them with a syringe, dropper, or turkey noodles for half an hour. I started with a ring at the waterline and just a cone in the water like in other people's photos but it was too hard for my kids to get there so everything is underwater now, just flip the ring. first turn over to avoid trapping air under the lip and stick to the jar, then insert the cone. It now sits so that the end of the apex of the cone is about 1…
