Sturdy small assembly suitable for kits

This is the first X-wing I've had since 2008 and it was fun to build. The body of the spaceship with all the figures will be built from the first two bags, and all the wings will be built from the last two bags, and it will take you between an hour and an hour and a half.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • weak

Not bad for the price

Compared to the last X-wing that came out (which was more expensive and a bit bigger) this one isn't that bad as it's cheaper. It also has a different wing opening/closing compared to the elastic strap system that the older model had. Building was fun and didn't take long.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

BEST LEGO X-Wing Minifigure Scale

This set is really impressive, but not perfect. I love the new S-Foil mechanism because I hate using rubber bands. I made a few small and simple mods to make the X-wing more accurate than Luke Skywalker's RED 5 Starfighter from the movies. The pictures show how I did it.

Pros
  • Rugged build
Cons
  • So far so good

The best Lego I've ever built

I could never spend a lot of money on Lego. This was for my son and he loved it. I liked that there were lots of decals to make the X-wing feel more realistic. Also, it is very durable and will not fall apart. There is one detail that is difficult to assemble. I think it could be a bit cheaper but I know X-Wings are expensive. Overall a good set, I recommend!

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Very expensive

I'm not sure if it's worth 50. Maybe 40. No big deal.

Assembly is fine. It is smaller than previous models, with only 2 spring-loaded darts versus 4 on other models. The nose gear is very loose and does not retract (poor engineering choice). The cannons on the wings play and make a lot of noise. This set is not very well put together for its intended use, which is of course for the game. The wing function works well but was better on previous models.

Pros
  • Durable test results
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

Awesome Piece Building Sets

This was the first large airplane like lego set my son built in one night. Now I say it's easy, no. It was hard but he was so proud that he just stuck with it. I say all of this to mention the detail and craftsmanship that goes into these high quality Lego sets. That's really impressive. I was amazed watching him do it. and for the price I didn't expect the ship to be anywhere near as big as what he ended up getting. The quality is amazing, all the details were there and the instructions were…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Decent Except for the A-pillar

I've never owned any of the previous X-wing Lego sets so let's get that rid of that. For the price this set is great. It's not difficult and my 4 year old son built it in a few hours with my help. He loves everything space related and he especially liked how the X Wing goes into attack mode! The only thing I have is that the front landing gear drops VERY SLIGHTLY. In our house it will definitely get lost as the part dangles and dangles a lot. There are other parts that fall off sometimes but…

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

LARGE PACKS RETURN! Although they were always great.

I loved the original Star Wars trilogy and this set features three of the most important and memorable characters from the trilogy. Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, R2-D2 and some guy named General Dodana. I don't know who this guy is but he seems pretty cool. The main build, well the only build is Luke Skywalker's X-Wing, which is great, it works exactly how I envisioned it, which is great. Just press a button and the wings switch from landing position to flight mode. There's also a small…

Everything you want from LEGO X-Wing for $50!

I was happy to hear that LEGO would be releasing an affordable Luke X-wing set. The X-Wings from the Sequel trilogy were overpriced for my liking, but this set lets you take on the Empire on a budget. Design: LEGO uses many details to create an optimized version of the Rebel X-Wing. The fenders could have been a bit stronger, but that would have required more parts, resulting in a higher price. My only real complaint is that LEGO advertises "retractable landing gear" and it is absolutely…
