Screws are a bit short considering they have to be screwed in at an angle. If you're installing it without a TV it shouldn't be a problem, but with a TV or whatever it's next to impossible considering you have to install the screws at such an odd angle and only on one side of the pieces. I prefer lids that have a base and a lid top.

First, completely remove the TV from the bracket. Leave the cables intact. I say put the TV away because you might want to stand behind the TV and need space. There is plenty of room for cords in the details. Lay out the ones you want, paint them and test your wall. There is a nail in the screw pack.
