Part needed to attach the lid was missing

Looks like a decent box and was easy to put together until attaching the lid. The box was missing an important part and without that I can't put the lid on. I called Revain support and they said the only remedy they could do was to repackage this huge 70+ lb product and ask UPS to collect it. I assembled it on a secluded patch of woods to store some tools - there's no way I'll be picking it up to repack, bring it home and wait for a UPS. One star for not having a part needed and I would give…

Beast in assembly but works great!

This thing survived a hurricane! I bought this in October to hold cushions for my patio set (4 large seat cushions, 2 large chair cushions, 1 medium ottoman cushion) as well as some blankets, throw pillows, a lighter, an extension cord, etc. It weighs tons, so be prepared to get help moving the crate and assembling it if you're not very strong. The sides slide and "snap" with quite an effort, which makes sense considering this is supposed to be waterproof. . The hardest part was assembling the…

Extra large in outboard storage and hull

Looking at the deck boxes made me wonder if I should spend a lot of money on 150 gallons, they are significantly more expensive. Let me just say that those 130 gallons are very big. A lot of people are familiar with the size of a 50 gallon keg, well that's more than two and a half kegs. He's huge. The assembly is good. You need wrenches and socket wrenches. If you use the socket, you will need a wrench on the other side. The metric is what is required. With some patients I managed with minimal…

Sturdy and easy to assemble

If I run into problems I will update but I was so excited to finally get a solid deck box that I wanted to check out. We've had a skinny box for years that fell apart and leaked like crazy and I paid a little less than this one and just looking tells me this one is much more durable. Girls, get your tools. I assembled it myself in an hour and it took so long because I needed to brush up on how to use a socket wrench 😬 I used a socket wrench (3 sizes are listed in the instructions), a flathead…

Great buy - totally waterproof

I've waited over a year to write this review as I wanted to get through summer (2015), winter (2015) and another summer (2016) to see See how this box has withstood the elements here in North Carolina (Raleigh area). This box is very large, extremely easy to assemble, has nice smooth opening and closing hinges, and the lid stays open when you need it, closes tightly and is completely watertight. As others have pointed out, take the time to ensure you have the correct panels before assembling…

The best solution is sun and rain - but.

Look at the photo. I placed this box in direct sunlight for part of the day, a hot climate near the equator, year-round and prone to heavy rains. water got into you? - The first thing you want to do is make sure the floor is raised. See how I set up the 6 inch cement platform? This is similar to the code in most cities. You want to do this for your box for two reasons. 1) The cement is uniform. That way the plastic won't warp and cause big gaps in the base 2) If your area has flooding, even if…

Welcome to editing hell!

So you've decided to take a break from work, mastered the art of patience and bought this Rubik's Cube out of a can. The game goes on! You gather your tools and you are ready. But nothing will prepare you for this assembly nightmare. Remember that slot A never slides into slot B no matter where you are in the guide. You'll find yourself tapping, hitting, praying, and cursing these pieces to put them together the way the instructions tell you, but it will take sheer willpower to get them to go…

Good packaging, poor instructions and small design flaws.

I am very handy and assembling the Lifetime box took the most time. A few tips to make it easier. 1. First check the nuts, screws and bolts and make sure you have the correct wrenches. A small ratchet (1/4" drive) makes it much easier to install some screws as sometimes there isn't enough clearance to use a large ratchet. An electric drill with a 1/4 inch bit will prove invaluable. when putting the lid on the box, as the holes in the hinge don't line up exactly with the holes in the plastic…
