The odds are 50/50 for them.

I bought them just over a month ago. So far they have worked great. I put them on, left the room to get some gear and went back to one of them smoking! The plastic base was burned and a hole in the glass melted. It could have been a wiring problem. The other has worked flawlessly so far. Will be updated.

Good way out. A bulb was broken.

I bought these for my LimoStudio Octagon flashlight. He uses this model where the bulb is much larger than average. The luminous flux becomes bright very quickly. It heats up, but does not emit heat. With it I have a great light even in pitch black darkness and when using the flash of my camera. My only issue was that one lightbulb didn't work right out of the box. So check both ads when you get them. The seller responded quickly and sent me a replacement. I will give this 5 stars when I have a

Huge onion trails!

HUGE bulbs! I wanted something for my garage to decorate better than 3 150w CFLs. You did the trick very well. Please note that the shade on them may differ from your other bulbs. That wasn't a problem for me, I wanted to be able to see! Switches on immediately and fits into any standard socket. But be careful with the sizes! These bulbs are HUGE and if you are in a situation where bulb height might be an issue please double check (I couldn't use them in half of my garage due to the garage door

They work and can make a big difference, but they are fragile and cheap.

I have had smaller 45 watt bulbs but found they were not up to the task. I photographed clothing for online listings on Ebay. These big lights really helped and provided the light needed to get the job done. The price isn't that high, but I warn they aren't the most durable. While they offer a good amount of light and are very popular items, these pieces can be spirited. They're a bit cheaply made, and if you overtighten or aren't careful when screwing them into the socket, you can quickly…

In Smoke: CFLs

Lamps arrived quickly and in good condition. The packaging looked good - the bulbs were wrapped in styrofoam and placed in a plastic clamshell container in individual boxes for each bulb. When I put them in the device and turned it on, there was a slight burning smell immediately. I was ready to accept this as a normal hack that would wear off over time, but after a few minutes a column of white smoke began to rise from the base of one of the lamps. At that point I put them back in the original

HUGE in light output and size.

I have no idea what the reviewers are saying about not being bright and not suitable for the daytime temperature bought but it can't be those bulbs. God I only bought two. 4 would not fit in a block, and 3 are so bright that more are not needed. I love the color (goes really well with my Kino Flos Daylight) and am considering buying two more and a second light for it. Very large. In contrast to conventional compact fluorescent screw lamps. I bought this for a small tracking kit but the lights…

Good packaging, works, bright

I bought 4 of these to use as grow lights. For the price it was a very good deal at $18 for two but the shipping cost was a little high at $16 although I can't complain given the size of these items. It took some time to arrive but it came from California so I guess that was to be expected. However, it was packaged very well and although the box was damaged by the UPS the light was fine. All 4 glow and appear to be very bright. I haven't checked if they're actually 105w or not, but for the…

DURABLE and bright for photography and other uses.

--- Carl Jr Review Summary --- Overall, I recommend these monster bulbs. All in all I would buy it again if needed. The last 4 years and they are still going strong. - Flexibility: I even use them in table lamps when I need a lot of light. - Brightness: They are as bright as advertised. - Color: They are very close to daylight color. Cons: - They are not strong enough to withstand a hit from a high speed ceiling fan. I really love these lightbulbs. I had four of these for my studio photography.

VERY BRIGHT LIGHTS VERY VALUABLE - BEWARE OF POTENTIAL HAZARDS

In my home studio and tabletop photography I have used 5800K lights which have served me well although they are very time consuming. Lamps without using a diffuser to get the required amount of light. On a whim I ordered a set although only one lamp arrived in the order so make sure you are looking for two. Revain fixed the problem quickly and in the meantime I've been using a 5800 along with the new 6500 and the results have been excellent: brighter light results in better image quality and…

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Comparing the lumen output to a 200w clear glass bulb I would say the bulb produces more light. The declared color temperature is correct, but the luminous flux does not correspond to the declared incandescent equivalent. However, with the declared power of 105W, they are still twice as efficient as incandescent bulbs and the price is acceptable. In general, everything is fine, but like all other compact fluorescent lamps, their light output does not reach the equivalent of incandescent lamps…
