Superb yarn needles

I keep losing my needles (I know!) so I had to order more. This is a fantastic set of yarn needles. I make amigurumi (knitting toys) and the large needle is very useful for sewing and closing my work. I was sewing on a button the other day and found that a medium sized needle fits the buttonholes perfectly, but you can use yarn instead of thread. I like that the needles are easy to thread and are strong enough not to bend during use. I hope I can keep track of them better, but if they end up in

Pros
  • Nickel plated steel
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Incredibly strong and durable (leatherwork)

Needles break after 9 out of 10 of these, 10 in a day or two ( I lace leather and these needles were very brittle) I bought a pack of these yarn needles. I assumed they would break quickly as I work with heavyweight vegetable tanned leather but figured the low cost was worth the risk just to get the piece finished. I am surprised and very happy with these needles. I'm still on the first needle of the pack (the smallest) and not only have I completed a project, I'm now on the third section…

Pros
  • These blunt eyed needles are great for sewing ends and sewing seams in knitting and crocheting
Cons
  • So far so good

Excellent needles for weaving ends in crochet

I use plastic needles for weaving ends in crochet and knitting projects. The problem is that the mold marks on the side of the needles continue to cling to and pull on the thin yarn. I came across these Lion Brand nickel plated steel pins with large eyelets and decided to give them a try. They work fantastic for me. The eyelets are big enough to thread through my yarn and then the needles themselves seem to slide over my finished projects as I weave the ends. Even better, you get two needles in

Pros
  • These large, blunt-eyed needles are good for weaving ends and sewing seams in crochet
Cons
  • Off fashion
