It only lasted 7 months.

Quite expensive for only 7 months. Now I have to ship it to Oklahoma at my own expense to see if they justify the pump. Not satisfied, save your time and buy from someone with the guarantee that you don't have to pay to see if the product is covered by the product or not.

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Float switch broke after 2 weeks

Float switch absorbed water and stopped working after 2 weeks. With some trouble finding the correct part, I was able to purchase a replacement float switch. I already have the device installed and taking it out to send back would be more of a hassle than just buying a new switch.

Pros
  • Trial period for one year
Cons
  • Don't know

Reliable as ever

My basement flooded last summer and my mom found an old Little Giant pump in her garage. Thing must be 30 years old and has been idle most of the time. Of course it started and quickly dried out the basement. The next day we ordered a new model so we could have one with an auto-on feature. Looks like a 30 year old. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The new one passed the test perfectly and will be ready to help if ever needed.

Cheap product

I bought this universal pump to use as a drain pump in my basement. It pulls water upstairs from my washing machine and out the basement. This product was to replace a pump I've had for over 6 years because the float switch on my old one broke. After 3 months the pump blocked and stopped working. I had to put a new float switch in my old pump because the company will not replace or return a defective product. This may be an isolated case but I am still very disappointed at the cost and…

Trusted name for pumps

Bought this pump to pump out 3/4 of the water in my inground pool. Attached a standard garden hose, ran it to the deep end (6 feet of water) and plugged it in. He worked non-stop for about 20 hours to get the job done. I've been looking for one that will pump more gallons per hour but if you can wait this one works great and has all the features to make it reliable. It's not really a pump that you use to remove water from a pool cover, but I've read a lot of reviews from people who have used it

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Great pump and worth the money

I had constant problems with the fountain in the yard which had a small water tank and the pumps kept burning out when the water level dropped. After struggling with 3 other pumps I was finally looking for a solution and not just another pump. I installed a large pool under the fountain (just found another use for those pesky plastic containers people buy. 27 gallons was perfect) and one of those pumps. This pump has been working fine for the last month and the water level sensor turned it off…

I recommend this one above all others because it's long.

I bought this to replace my old one which I used for 15 years to drain rainwater off my pool cover. Works fabulous. The old one only failed because after years of use the automatic control had internally expanded and was no longer sensitive enough to detect the need to turn it on. I recommend it to everyone else because it's durable and it works automatically. Automatic means you plug it into a 120V outlet, install it on the pool cover and it will turn on automatically when it detects water at…

  • Definitely a bad product

Works great for the application I needed

I had a problem with water coming up from the ground in my duct and flooding part of my basement several times a year when it rained heavily. Rather than opening the trap further to drain it (and risking the sewer to rise again), I tried to find a small profile pump with an automatic trigger. After hours of searching I settled on this and it has been working great for the past few months or so. It fits in the small space between my sewer pipe and the side wall of the trap, which is a space…

This pump works well but has a design flaw. After reading the reviews, some of them turned out to have blown, and I have almost the same thing, I'll explain how to fix it. The problem with this is that the gauge switch is a black circular mechanism that bolts to the bottom rear of the pump. So what happens is that the water level is high enough that the switch is submerged in water and the top of the pump is exposed to the air. Therefore, in a sump, for example, the pump works and runs while…
