Description of Copolymer Connector: Enhancing Efficiency with Loc Line Coolant Components

Product Overview

The Versatile Connector for Efficient Cutting Tool Coolants

The Loc-Line Coolant Component Copolymer Connector is a highly functional and essential tool for connecting Loc-Line hoses to pipes in cutting tool coolant systems. This innovative fitting seamlessly connects to the Loc-Line modular hose on one end and features an NPT threaded female pipe on the other, ensuring a secure and leak-free connection. Crafted from durable acetal copolymer plastic with an eye-catching orange color, this connector not only resists corrosion and moisture but also boasts compatibility with a wide range of chemicals, including acetone, alcohol, ethyl, greases, oils, commercial dish detergents, gasoline, lacquer solvents, and sodium hydroxide. With its maximum operating temperature of 170 degrees F, it provides reliability even in demanding industrial environments.

Characteristics of the Copolymer Connector

The Loc-Line Coolant Component Copolymer Connector stands out due to its remarkable characteristics that enhance the effectiveness of cutting tool coolants. Its robust construction using acetal copolymer plastic ensures longevity and reliability in various working conditions. The striking orange color of the connector not only adds a touch of visibility but also helps in easy identification during maintenance or setup procedures. The resistance to corrosion and moisture makes it ideal for environments where exposure to liquids is common, while the ability to withstand a broad range of chemicals expands its application scope across different industries.

Wide Applications for the Copolymer Connector

The Copolymer Connector's versatility allows it to find a multitude of applications, making it an invaluable component in cutting tool coolant systems. Here are some common areas where this connector can be used:

  • Industrial Cutting Operations: Whether it's metalworking, woodworking, or plastic fabrication, the Copolymer Connector ensures efficient coolant flow to maintain optimal cutting tool performance.
  • Manufacturing Processes: From precision machining to fabricating corrugated boxes, this connector plays a pivotal role in enhancing coolant circulation and productivity.
  • Automotive Workshops: For tasks involving metal cutting and shaping, the Copolymer Connector ensures a continuous and reliable supply of coolants, enabling smoother operations and prolonging tool life.
  • Construction Sites: In construction applications, such as cutting through concrete or drilling into masonry, the Copolymer Connector aids in maintaining the right coolant flow for improved cutting efficiency.
  • Engineering Workshops: Whether it's milling, turning, or grinding, this connector supports the effective cooling of cutting tools, preventing overheating and ensuring precision results.
  • Solving the Coolant Distribution Challenge

Prior to the introduction of the Loc-Line Coolant Component Copolymer Connector, coolant distribution in cutting tool systems posed significant challenges. Traditional rigid piping systems were difficult to adjust or modify, leading to inefficiencies and suboptimal coolant delivery. However, this copolymer connector revolutionized the coolant delivery process, allowing easy and flexible connections between hoses and pipes. Its modular design facilitates quick adjustments, ensuring that coolants reach the desired locations with precision. This not only improves the cutting performance but also extends the lifespan of cutting tools, reducing the need for frequent replacements and saving costs for businesses.

    Benefiting Various Industries

The Loc-Line Coolant Component Copolymer Connector offers significant benefits to a wide range of industries that rely on cutting tools for their operations. Metalworking, woodworking, plastic fabrication, automotive, aerospace, and electronics manufacturing are just a few examples of sectors that will find immense value in this product. By ensuring consistent and efficient coolant flow, the connector enhances the overall productivity and quality of the processes. Moreover, the connector's resistance to corrosion and compatibility with various chemicals make it a reliable choice for challenging work environments.

    Ideal for Loc-Line cooling systems

For use on multiple Fadal CNC machining centers for feeding of coolant and they fit inside the glove. Now I have extra on hand in case one breaks again.

    Pros
    • Fitting connects to Loc-Line modular hose on one end and inner NPT tube on the other
    Cons
    • Not as thick as other elbows

Note that this thread is 1/8 " NPT.

So, like an idiot, I didn't read the whole description and didn't realize the threading this one is 1/8" NPT instead of 1/4" NPT. I looked up the name, saw 1/4" and NPT and assumed I had the right part. Luckily for what I use it for it's not a big deal and I just got the adapter from my local hardware store and it worked pretty well.

    Pros
    • Connects Loc-Line hose to pipe
    Cons
    • Requires a receptacle

    excellent quality

I used this in a 'helping hand' project. This connector screwed into a drilled and cut cutting board, snapped in about 15 inches of the latch line, and attached a small alligator clip to the other end. The cutting board was drilled and then screwed in place with this 1/4" 18 NPT tap. For my use, cheap knockoffs work pretty well too, but I've yet to strip hot glue or hit them with a soldering iron. The loc-line brand is a durable quality material that I've dripped hot glue on, dripped solder on…

    Pros
    • Conforms to NSF/ANSI 14, 51 and 61 drinking water standards
    Cons
    • Questionable purchase for the elderly
