Useful for cataloging slides but with limited detail

Magnasonic All-in - A single 22- Megapixel film scanner is useful for quickly scanning 35mm slides, creating a catalog, or viewing on screen, but it's not enough if you want to make prints larger than 20 x 25 cm (8 x 10 in ) are. Part of the problem is resolution: a Kodachrome slide can hold the equivalent of 50MB of information, but this device captures 14 megapixels, interpolated to 22 megapixels. It also seems that the color depth is limited. Pros: Easy to use and set up, fast throughput…

Pros
  • FAST AND EASY SCANNING - Easy setup for hassle-free operation, allowing you to scan photos in less than 5 seconds with the included quick-load film trays
Cons

Quick and easy to learn and use

I digitized all my old photos. I did this with an app on my phone, but of course this method didn't work for slides. I chose Magnasonic based on reviews of similar products on Revain. It turned out great. Very easy to use and I was able to digitize hundreds of slides quickly. The device stores the digitized images on the built-in SD card (which you will need to purchase separately if you don't already have one like I do). After inserting the first slide into the appropriate cassette and setting

Great converter, converted images need post-processing.

When scanning slides, don't rely on your device's screen to judge color or brightness. This screen is not bright enough and seems out of color balance. I tried balancing the brightness and color balance (adding some red) which looked fine on the machine's screen, but when I transferred the scanned images to my desktop computer, the images were too red. I recommend you scan images with all adjustments set to zero. and then adjust the images on your computer using Photoshop or another image…
