The waist is too optimistic

This petticoat is BEAUTIFUL, fluffy and soft. Perfect for your bodycon and flared dresses without looking fancy. It's also superbly designed and made in the USA! Unfortunately I have to deduct a star as the plus size says it fits up to a 52 inch waist. Yes, the adjustable elastic waistband stretches as much, but at my 46" waist size, it was very uncomfortably tight. I can't imagine how much more uncomfortable it would be at 52." It was enough to just buy more elastic on the buttons (from…

Worth the extra cost!

I now have several petticoats as I wear vintage clothing every day. I had a hard time finding a good black skirt of the length I needed. I stumbled across this one and it was double the price of my others but having returned so many blacks earlier thought it might be worth a try. It has arrived and I am LOVE! It's MUCH softer and fluffier than all my others, just the length I wanted and fits perfectly. You can't see the waistband through the dress and I love how it sits on my dresses. The only…

No chiffon, no soft, ridiculously oversized petticoat.

As another reviewer noted, although the description says Samantha is all chiffon, the petticoat I received is huge and clearly crystal. And as they also noted, if you look closely, the product images seem to indicate that two different fabrics are used. The petticoat I received doesn't have the soft drape or the gentle sweep of chiffon, but rather stands out. like a tutu and bounces like a basketball when walking. It's also ridiculously gigantic. If I were doing a square dance, I would choose…

Warning: Quality control issues

Ordered for my daughter's wedding dress. Pros: 1. Daughter fell in love with the fabric. It's so soft.2. Filling is very good. Delivered quickly Disadvantages: 1. It is sold as a tea length. It looked short out of the box but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and hung it up to cure for a few days but it still measured only 24 inches and hit my 5'3" daughter just below the knee But she liked the fabric and we didn't have much time so I told her I would add some light lace at the bottom to add…

So chic and feminine!

I bought this petticoat to wear with a 28 inch sun skirt for a square dance. I don't like shorter skirts and wanted something longer. I asked Malco Modes for advice and this is the petticoat they recommended to pair with the Hey Viv sun skirt! it is soft but not hard. I really appreciate the woman at Malco Modes who took the time to speak to me and then recommend a product specifically tailored to my needs. I've only heard good things about Malco Modes and that seems to be true. The only thing…

best skirt.

I've recently decided on chiffon petticoats. They are definitely more comfortable than others. After buying a few, I found that Malko Samantha's forbidden lifestyles and regime were the best. Both are 26 inches long or considered tea length. I'm 5'4", weigh 180 pounds and they were both 2" below my knees in the plus size. price differences. wait longer to get it. Banned are incredibly soft, quite full and lined if that's important to you. With chiffon, they are so soft anyway that I don't…

It doesn't look like real chiffon.

I bought a medium sized navy blue peacock and it was advertised as chiffon. The first one I got was more like tulle, slightly shiny and very stiff. My black and white petticoat is made of soft chiffon, rather opaque. The second one I ordered just arrived and felt the same. It's very scratchy and also has 5 yards more fabric than my other Samanthas. I contacted the company any way I could and they told me that Samantha is all chiffon and they told me that I needed to take photos of the tags. I…

Ideal! for women

The image of a housewife from the 1950s has occupied me for a long time. A few years ago I bought some baggy dresses and three different petticoats and some nylon stockings with a back seam. I liked the dresses and the nylons, but the petticoats were terrible. They were itchy and even after several washes the color on the fabric discolored my skin. They gave splendor to the clothes, but wearing them was unbearable. They were so hard and itchy they caught on my nylons. So I gave up the classic…
