MARUNDA Thermal Cat Mat Reversible Review

I have a stray cat that I have been feeding for several years. He won't let me near him, hisses and spits. He stays in my shed almost every night where my husband made him a shelf and a heating pad on it. He's on my porch every morning between 3 and 4 to eat. He sits for a while to watch the birds feed and then sleeps in the barn until evening when he comes back to eat what is left for him.

I only gave 2 stars because it really doesn't do what it's supposed to. Cats won't lie on it, although Mylar is slightly crunchy. Not loud at all. The outer shell is awesome. I just want it to reflect heat. I know it didn't happen because I pressed my hand against it for 10 minutes and nothing. The cat put its top third on it and nothing. My older cat loves to lie on the baseboard when it's cold. She currently used a smaller version of this pillow when she was in front of the TV and seemed to be enjoying it. This Cat Thermal Mat was the perfect product I was looking for. I used it to warm and comfort an old wildcat who lives in the bushes and hides in a drainage ditch. I made a covered shelter out of a trash can and insulated it to provide shelter during the winter months. To provide extra warmth I used a self-heating Marunda thermostat.
