Great for starting off-loom stitches!

This is the second time I have bought this book to give to a friend who is interested in pearls. At the beginning of the book there is introductory information on consumables and required materials. Each chapter focuses on a specific bead stitch from the loom, giving you projects that increase in difficulty as you progress through that chapter. Many color photos inside. Very important for beginners

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone interested in working with beads on the loom. Let me be very clear here. This book is easily suitable for the beginner, intermediate or advanced bead artist. However, if I were to pick up this book, if beads scare me at the mere thought of using thousands of beads in one product, I would run to hell with a cry. Basic Beading Guide

I was hoping this new book would suggest some new techniques. Not really. This is a good basics book for beginners, or if you haven't knitted a particular stitch for a while you can brush up on the basics. I liked the idea of the book being spiral bound, like a cookbook, but was annoyed with the inclusion of "mise-en-scène" in every project! Cooking terminology is explained on page 8, Nuf said.
