Description of πŸ”‹ HERO10 MAXCAM Battery: Enhanced Aluminum Alloy

The USB charging pass-through door with lid is specially designed for GoPro HERO10/HERO9 Black, ensuring that the camera can be charged during long-term shooting. While opening a hole at the interface to facilitate plugging and unplugging of the data cable, a closable warehouse door is added. In daily storage and use, it can effectively prevent the intrusion of foreign objects from causing damage to the data interface. Although this side cover can be closed, there is a slight gap in the closed part and cannot be waterproof. Do not use it for wading. When using the data interface, there is no need to open the entire side cover, just open the closable door, and the inside of the body and the battery are not exposed.

Essential for camera and photo

Needed for recordings longer than an hour. The batteries last an hour at best and we go camping where it lasts longer. Remember to take a quick shot, the pro needs to be on so it's good if I can leave it plugged in and work all day without having to change batteries. . The door makes it nice when not in use.

Pros
  • With daily storage and use, it can effectively prevent foreign objects from entering and damaging the data interface.
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

NOT SUITABLE FOR HERO 10!

Purchased this product for my Hero 10 after having to force it on the device. Only to find that it still didn't fit, I noticed that I started flexing the support pin on the GoPro itself. This is not from Hero 10 at all. Don't waste your money on this misleading product. Buy the official GoPro. Save yourself the heartache of knowing you bent the pivot and need to buy a new one.

Exactly what you think.

The door is pretty well made and does exactly what you think it will. It allows you to plug a cable into a USB port so you can use the battery to power your Go Pro. I have a Hero 9 and with a powerful adapter and the included battery you can get 4-6 hours of recording. Please note that your GoPro is then no longer waterproof. With the cable connected it should handle light splashes, but I wouldn't trust it in the rain. When the cable isn't connected, the door stays closed, so it's probably fine

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Big and bulky

It is not possible to mount the door on the hinge.

My original door is easy to remove and reinstall. I can't install this with the same angle and force as the OEM door. I'm worried that I might use too much force and break the loop. So far a useless piece of aluminum and plastic. Update: I was finally able to install the door after a little struggle. However, my plan was to replace the door with an OEM door if I can use HERO in a situation where there is a risk of water ingress. I'm not comfortable with this and risk breaking the loop.

Pros
  • Accessory kits
