And more problems and no customer service worth mentioning.

Updated 5/14/21, I have purchased a total of 4 of these fans/grids over the past 5 years. While the product is decent, the customer support sucks! One of the new units I bought had a circuit board failure and I emailed and called the manufacturer multiple times. Haven't received a response from the manufacturer yet. Good product but terrible customer service. I will not buy their products again and their customer service is a joke. If you want to play, buy one.

Great fan, the best among van parts and accessories

This fan is a worthy upgrade to an existing fan or fans that come with many vans. It has 10 speeds (the original had 3 speeds). The airflow direction can be changed (original outlet only). It has a remote control (my original didn't have one). The remote has a thermostat control that allows you to turn the fan on when it gets too hot or turn it off when it gets too cold. The fan can be adjusted to keep the lid down while the fan is running, making it a quasi-ceiling fan suitable for the oftenโ€ฆ

Better and cheaper than Fan-tastic Fan 7350

Let me start by saying that I recently installed this Maxxair #4500 and Fan-tastic Fan #7350 in my Class A setup. Both fans are almost the same power and performance, but the Maxxair was almost $100 cheaper. An advantage of this fan over the fan tactics fan is that you can control it remotely or control it manually on the fan. Only with the Fan-tastic fan.remote control this is not possible. Both fans are much quieter than the OEM fans they replaced, although with the automatic fan feature onโ€ฆ

Easy to install and works great.

I ordered this fan for the rear deflector on my Rockwood Windjammer. There was a 12 volt cord. That made a lot of things easier. Installation took about 2 hours. Much of this time was devoted to removing the lap sealant and butyl tape from the roof. Here's a tip. Old sealing is easier to remove in the shade. Old butyl tape gets better after the sun warms it up a bit. This is an easy task to install. Very easy. I zipped everything up and found the remote control not working properly. The iconsโ€ฆ

Great Van Accessory Great Price

I installed this on a 2003 Sprinter. This is pretty easy if you follow the instructions and buy butyl tape and lap sealant. Mine was different than the photo - the bottom flange is slightly wider on the sides so it has ledges for an optional rain cover. Out of the box, it didn't fit between the protruding beads on the roof of my van. I don't plan on buying a rain cover so I just cut off the extra flanges. I also cut a ring out of 1/2" plywood to give the included screws something to cutโ€ฆ

Very impressive! good for HVAC

fan and gasket kit received in perfect condition. I watched one of the various videos on You Tube about the removal process and tried not to damage the roof membrane. Today is a 100 degree day so we started early on the roof. It took about 30 minutes to remove all of the old Dicor self leveling sealant. You will find great things when you remove the existing sealing. Note the much heavier dome cover material than the factory original, and the dual lift arm prevents the cover from flapping andโ€ฆ

UPDATE Voltage shutdown issues due to a design flaw.

Still no solution for my Maxxair Plus fan. It keeps cutting out due to over voltage on my home batteries reaching up to 13.8 volts. The manufacturer says anything over 13.5 or 45 seconds shuts down and that these fans are designed for homes that use voltage regulators. Just people carry them in their vans everywhere and I don't see any mention of voltage regulators? I can't find anything RELIABLE that limits the voltage from 12-14V to 12V. I can only find devices dropping from 24 to 12 and that

Other fans are not even comparable to this fan in all aspects!

You don't think you need to worry or think much about a bathroom fan on wheels, but this fan does. We've had everything from very cheap junk fans given away by manufacturers to buyers on wheels to the best fantastic models and none of them are even in the same league as this fan. This is a really good fan! The controls on the fan are a little confusing to use, but it's not a case where there's no point figuring out the remote, which has an LCD that shows you everything that's going on and comes
