I used this to make my own 80ft extension cord for a portable speaker. Marking every 2 feet makes it very easy to roll out 80 feet. Not as flexible as rubber-coated cable, but still flexible enough.

Good quality, it was a bit stiff when I first unwrapped it but always straightened it out before plugging it in and had no problems. For example, clearly marking the wires with different colors makes it much easier to connect the positive and negative ends. I love black, hides much better than white.

I received a box of Monoprice product marked 14 AWG (which is what I needed) but the wire spool is marked 16 AWG. I had to return quite a lot of "Made in China" products this year! The difference between AWG size and line length is only two feet, but it would be nice if I had 14 AWG to start with. Monoprice or Revain should check their inventory for mislabeling.

Shipping and arrival were fast, everything was well packaged and with a handy roll. But the outer shell is very immobile and very difficult to machine. When trying to push it through tight spaces it tends to unroll again to take the shape it releases from the spool and if twisted again before going through a bulkhead or hole it will twist and crumpled on the outside and will not recover its original shape very well. . . For what it's worth, it's not very user-friendly.

To all those for whom this wire is too hard; not very malleable etc. etc. give me a break! This is NOT speaker cable for internal use (although you can and I did!) From your AVR to your speaker - a few feet. Please research beforehand! This cable is intended for installation in a wall or in an attic. Therefore it is not malleable. God! The copper itself (14 hectares tested) seems to be quite good. I don't wish individual stalls were better but they are good nonetheless. The 14 gauge seems accurate compared to other cables and my wire strippers. The 2 conductors have a bend that can help reduce EMI, and most other inexpensive cables don't have this feature.
