Use on a 1992 club car with lift kits

They work great on a 1992 club car with lift kits. They will not work on a 1992 petrol car unless you have a lift kit as you need an eye on the underside not a brace.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Nothing here

Both shocks were DOA certified

Both shocks leaked nitrogen gas so the shocks never fully deployed. I sent them back and ordered another set. There's more to come. The second set that came was just one of the shocks DOA. Sent back and not ordered.

An absolute must-have on a van or trailer

PERFECT for vans, caravans and cargo trailers. I installed them on a 20 foot twin axle trailer I built to stop the jumps and bumps trailers always have. You can find a video on this in the "Install shock absorbers on the trailer, trailer installation video 2” section.

Pros
  • Practical item
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.

Ease of installation. Provides a smooth ride.

These shock absorbers were used on the 99 Club Car DS golf cart. I installed heavy duty springs to support the rear seat kit and my factory shocks weren't enough. The new set of springs actually said no shocks were needed, but the ride was bumpy. Added Monroe shock absorbers and now we have a smooth rolling golf cart. Ease of installation.

Two different shock absorbers with the same part number.

Although the dampers were too stiff for my use, I saved them for future use on another project. The reason for the 3 stars is that although both were stamped with the same part number, one of them was probably a Chinese fake as the bolt and nut threads were metric while the other damper had US threads and nuts. Very sticky.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Good value for money.

I bought these shock absorbers as a modern replacement for my 1931 Model A Ford. They seem to work very well and appear unobtrusive. Very easy to assemble and look well made. The only issue I had was that one of the hardware packages appeared to be torn upon delivery (the box was poorly packed) and a nut was missing. I had some nuts from another project so it didn't affect the dampers. I would buy these dampers again.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

Good shock absorbers for Club Car DS

Installed them on my 1998 Club Car DS 48v. I read in another review that they fit my car and fit perfectly. Wanted to buy a well known brand shock that would be better than the old shocks. All the parts needed for the installation were in the boxes. The quality seems very good and as these are sealed gas shocks it is an improvement over the previous standard bogie shocks. Once installed, they added stiffness and stability to the ride. I also installed new heavy duty leaf springs to help the…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Good but not great
