Great feathers! for coil springs

These springs are perfect for my 2003 Chevy Suburban. Raised the back too. The ride is much better and the Suburban drives better. I also added rear Monroe shocks to balance the load, which also raised the rear a bit. Thanks to the new setup, the truck is now much easier to pull and has less sag.

  • cool product

Great item for Mild DIY Lift Kit!

These are Z-71 replacement springs for Tahoe/Yukon 00-06. Combined with 2" spacers and lengthened Bilstein shocks, I got 3" of total travel at the rear over the stock (non-Z-71) Tahoe. Looks great. Needed scroll compressors to fit the spacers, FYI.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Requires socket

Perfect upgrade for 02 Suburb.

I used these to replace the factory springs on my suburban 02 with Nivomat shocks. I decided to upgrade the springs and use a regular good quality shock absorber. I am very happy with the update. My factory Nivomat shock absorbers are worn out. My suburb has 155,000 miles and regularly tows a 30ft camper. These springs lifted the back of my car. Now it's 2 inches taller in the back and rides great. Handling has also improved significantly. I also installed Monroe Reflex dampers all around. Iโ€ฆ

Perfect fit and quality Moog

Worked great. Installed it on the back of my 2001 Chevy Tahoe. It had easy running zw7 shock absorbers and they were worn out at 260,000 miles. The rear started to lean to the right and the ride was terrible, but I didn't want to pay an outrageous price for factory (Nivomat) shocks. I did a little research and found these Moog springs and added a set of Bilstein rear shocks and they worked great. Installation was easy, handling was great. The rear has been raised about 2 inches, giving it aโ€ฆ

Nice springs that I used on the back of my 2004 4WD Trailblazer LS back in the day to with 500 pounds to lift and no slack to have stereo in the trunk. I didn't measure because my rear end sags, but it's definitely a little taller than stock. Planning on getting a 2.5" front alignment kit and maybe Moog 81114 springs for the front if Amazon ships them to HI lol. I got them from a used site so I ordered them and they shipped them. The front should rise, not sag so much. Give maybe 3 inches or so

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not bad

2005 Z71 suburban registered. Direct replacement

Direct replacement, one inch above stock. Raised 2 inches with these and Monroe shocks. Increased buoyancy, smoother ride, not super hard or harsh, no more soft and soft with rebound. Highly recommended if sag or your suspension is soft. Required for towing. 2 hours to change Coils and dampers move slowly and will be cleaned along the way Block the front wheels, jack up the frame, use jack stands under the frame. An 11/32 wrench is required to install the shock, remove the lower bracketโ€ฆ

Great restoration of my 2005 Yukon car!

The car was a 2005 Yukon with 95,000 miles and is fitted with the infamous Nivomat self-levelling shock absorbers. No air suspension with compressor. The replacement shocks are $300 each, so I did a little research and found that if I replaced the factory coil springs with coil springs designed for the Z71 suspension, I could use regular gas shocks. The local shop was charging over $300 just for the work. Ridiculous! I bought these Moog coils and a pair of Monroe Gas Magnum shocks and installed

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

2003 Tahoe LT Autoride

Perfect fit, easy to install and now my truck has great posture. I got rid of my 17 year old worn out springs and junk air shocks (which I replaced 3 years ago and they're out again). The bed of the truck jacked up a bit; I removed both shock absorbers and loosened the stabilizer bar connections. Jacked up the truck. Hand drawn feathers. Installed new springs, lowered the car a bit. Installed a set of Billstein 5100 shocks and bolted on the anti-roll bars. Hid the air and electrical connections

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!

Heavy Duty Rear Coil Spring for Tahoe and Suburban/Yukon

This spring is the same as the spring used in the Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon "Z71โ€ packages. This gives you an extra 1 inch of lift relative to field measurements. As far as I know, this is the only Heavy Duty spring you can get without adding more suspension. Airbags are another option if you want to deal with them. The LS, LT and others use a softer spring that is slightly wider in the coil configuration and has fewer coils overall. This 81609 has a tighter spool pack and the steel spool isโ€ฆ
